Black Panther Climbs To Top 10 Highest Grossing Movies In Domestic Box Office

Black Panther is now among the Top 10 highest grossing movies in the Domestic Box Office. Ryan Coogler’s directorial brainchild has had tremendous success at the movie Theaters, both in the overseas market and the Domestic audience. People are calling it one of the greatest movies on Black Empowerment. While the debate about the movie carrying any credible social message rages on, the movie itself is doing its best to find the pedestal it so deserves at the Box Office. It had already achieved several milestone a week into its release. It has yet achieved another one.

The movie Black Panther has went past Disney’s Finding Dory, which sat at the 10th position at Domestic sales with a gross total of 486.2 Million $$ at that market. The next movies in line which Black Panther aims to break and pass through are Beauty and the Beast, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Warner Bros./DC Films The Dark Knight. Beauty and the Beast garnered 504 Million $$ at the Domestic Box Office. Rogue One amassed about 532.1 Million $$ and The Dark Knight gathered about 534.2 Million USD at the Domestic Theaters. And now Black Panther is about to break these records and create a whole new place for itself.

The latest installment to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still miles behind the highest grossing MCU movie in the domestic market. The Avengers released in 202 sits at the top of the throne with a massive 623 Million $$ Domestic Market Share. While crossing that will be a distant dream for Black Panther, it has already gone past another Avengers installment. Avengers: Age of Ultron scored about 459 Million $$ in Domestic sales. Black Panther has already scored higher.

Black Panther is continuing to break all kinds of records at the Box Office. It has already achieved more than 897 Million $$ in the worldwide ticket sales and is almost primed for crossing the 1 Billion Dollar Box Office mark. That i a milestone coveted by many, held sacred by all but achieved by only a select few. Ryan Coogler will see the achievement of a lifetime for himself when Black Panther crosses the 1 Billion Dollars mark. The movie is already garnering critical acclaim in all circles. Currently, Black Panther holds a humongous 97 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, a feat that hasn’t been achieved by any other MCU movie yet. The only Superhero movie that could compete with Black Panther in terms of ratings is The Incredibles (also owned by Disney).

If the movie is so good, a sequel could and should be in order. Unfortunately, a set date for a Black Panther sequel hasn’t been announced yet. Let’s just hope it comes soon. Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios’ president, has claimed that the Studio indeed wants Ryan Coogler to come back and direct the sequel to Wakanda’s Protector and Guardian and give the fans what they exactly want. The fans want to hear ‘Wakanda Forever!!’ again. Ryan Coogler, where are you?!?!?!

Black Panther is currently in theaters. Starring Chadwick Boseman as the titular Superhero, the official for Black Panther reads:

After the death of his father, T’Challa returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king. When a powerful enemy suddenly reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as a king — and as Black Panther — gets tested when he’s drawn into a conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people.
