Star Wars: The Last Jedi – 10 Incredible Fan Theories To Blow Your Mind

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is going strong at the Box Office as we speak. It has already crossed the 500 million USD mark. But the movie has led to a lot of questions than it has given answers. Here are 10 Star Wars; The Last Jedi fan theories that, if true, will change the course of the Galaxy forever.

Spoiler Alert: The following listicle contains major spoilers about Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Proceed with Caution…

Kylo Lied about Rey’s parents

After Rey gets on board the Supremacy, Supreme leader Snoke’s lead ship, he is interrogated by Snoke into revealing Luke Skywalker’s location. As Kylo Ren decides to turn on Snoke, the ensuing fight is a spectacle to watch. As Snoke lies dead and Rey looks to Kylo reaching out, Kylo says Rey’s parents were nobodies, to begin with. But this could all be a ruse to convince Rey to join the Dark Side.

Its no more Jedi vs. Sith

Kylo Ren does not shoot at his own mother Leia during the chase sequence. Rey is enticed with the Dark Side on the planet Ahch-To. The fight, it seems, is no more between the Jedi and the Sith. Rey is fighting for balance in galactic governance while Kylo wants to be the sole ruler. It is now democracy vs. Communism.

Knights of Ren return

The Knights of Ren are elite warriors of the Sith order that have sworn allegiance to Kylo Ren. They used to be young padawans under Luke Skywalker’s tutelage until they rebelled under Kylo’s leadership to become the dreaded fighting force they are today. With Kylo assuming leadership of the First Order. The Knights of Ren might return.

Kylo will die a Darth Vader-esque death

In the original trilogy, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader fight with Vader realizing there is conflict within him. He is not evil like the empire. He later sacrifices his life to save his son. Kylo Ren is a similar gray character now. There is both light and dark in him fighting for control. In the final fight with Rey, he just might go the Vader route.

Snoke is Darth Plagueis – The first Jedi (and later Sith) of the Galaxy

Darth Plagueis is the greatest manipulator of the force to have ever existed. The reason – he was the first ever to know about its existence and use it in combat. He later trains another young sith that becomes the legendary Darth Sidious. Sidious then murders Plagueis like Kylo murdered Snoke. But if Snoke is indeed Plagueis then resurrecting himself back to life would be too easy for him to do.

Rey is born of the Force

This theory is extremely infamous. Anakin Skywalker who later becomes Darth Vader was conceived in a similar fashion. Midi-chlorians are organisms whose quantity in someone determines how much force sensitive they really are. Anakin was conceived by the midi-chlorians. So could Rey. But she would still need a biological birth mother.

Luke Skywalker will return

The legend lives on. There are already rumors starting to float that the Skywalker is not completely gone. Force Ghosts are a common phenomenon in Star Wars. Luke could take the form of a force ghost and counsel Rey in her time of need like Yoda did with Luke in The Last Jedi.

Dameron-Rey will be a couple soon

Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron has become a fan-favorite. Perhaps due to the similarities between Dameron’s character and Harrison Ford’s Han Solo. Rey mostly stays calm and collected like Leia Organa. Han Solo and Leia Organa are the most famous coupleinf the Galaxy. Now Poe and Rey could take the story forward. Throw in Finn and Rose and we got a full blown Twilight Saga love story in our hands.

Rey will form a new Jedi Order

Rey is now the last Jedi of the Galaxy. With Luke Skywalker gone, it is up to her to keep the Jedi Order alive. The Resistance successfully escaped First Order forces in The Last Jedi but they are terribly short on manpower. A recruitment drive is sure to follow. Rey could single out children with enough force sensitivity to start a new Jedi Order.

Rey is not the Last Jedi

Star Wars

It sounds ludicrous, to begin with. But the theory actually holds more water than the rest on this list. With Rey being born of parents that were literally nobodies, it proves that you do not have to be of a particular bloodline to manipulate or be one with the Force. The Galaxy may have many such ‘Reys’ scattered throughout several star systems. If Rey is one, there might be others who could be as equally as powerful as her. They just need to step forward and join the cause.
