15 Superhero Couples Who Are Too Hot To Handle

Superhero and Supervillain love interests sometimes are the essential plot points to drive a story. Some of these couples are loved so much by the fans that they want to know more about them. Here is a list.

Black Panther and Storm

This couple came into being together in the late 80’s and eventually got married in 2008. But during the arc of the Avengers VS the X-Men, the couple gets divorced in quite a cold and unemotional way. This was due to the hue and cry made by the fans of having a strong shown together with no historical connection whatsoever, but just on the basis of their skin color.

Green Arrow and Black Canary

This couple came to being together in the 60’s just before they joined the Justice League. Though equals, still opposites the couple who started off with a hard-hitting romance, finally halted and got married in 2008. The couple is also given a lot of light on the CW’s TV show Arrow.

Superman and Wonder Woman

This couple was surely the epitome of Super. They kind of set standards for what a super couple should be like. Strong, powerful otherworldly creatures yet still down to earth living in isolation, but working for the rest of the mankind. Though their romance didn’t last long as it recently ended in the New 52 comics.

Gambit and Rogue

This story might sound new to a lot of fans, as Rogue is seen with Ice Man in the X-Men films but to the comic readers, it sure is a treat. The couple who needs to be at arm’s length else, Gambit could not only lose his powers but also his life, when later in the stories comes in physical contact with each other is a sight to watch.

Batman and Catwoman

Undoubtedly the best ever relationship in the comics, the relationship between Batman and Catwoman is long lasting and has never been very explicit, teasing the fans and increasing its longevity. The relationship is all about Bruce trying to reform Kyle, while she trying to push him over to the wild side. Recently Bruce proposed to Selina for marriage though.

Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne

While we loved the chemistry between Scott and Hope in the Marvel’s Antman movie, we still got to see very less of it as they only shared a kiss towards the end of the movie. It would be interesting for everyone to see how their story is pursued in the upcoming sequel ‘Antman and the Wasp’.

Aquaman and Mera

The story of the king and queen of Atlantis is the one that is really cherished by fans in the comic books. But as we know that Mera is going to be played by Amber Heard alongside Jason Momoa as Aquaman, they already look a pretty steamy and royal couple and would it be fun to watch the take of James Wan on their storyline.

Spiderman and Mary Jane

As we have seen quite a bit of the couple in the three early Spiderman movies, fans who are familiar with only ‘The Amazing Spiderman’ series would really love to know more about the couple as they have only witnessed the love story of Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy. Hopefully, Spiderman Homecoming would provide that.

Sara Lance and Nyssa Al Ghul

As we saw in Arrow, Sara and Nyssa shared a pretty steamy and complicated love life in the show due to Nyssa being the daughter of Ra’s Al Ghul himself. We have a lot of male and female couples in the comic books so it is fun to include an LGBT couple into the fans’ interest.

Scarlet Witch and Vision

Vision and Scarlet Witch have a pretty complicated love story as Vision is an android and she is not. We have only seen a few hints of their love life in the movies and fans have loved the take on the characters written by the writers. We will see how these characters together are explored in The Avengers Infinity War.

Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor

Diana Prince is often paired with either Bruce Wayne or Superman in various storylines, but her original love interest was Steve Trevor during the World War 1. Their love story was established very well in the new Wonder Woman and became a fan favorite.

Nightwing and Starfire

The first Robin and Starfire have a very different love story as Starfire is from a different planet and we got to see a little bit of their love life in the recent DC animated movie ‘Teen Titans Judas Contract’. It would be very lovable if the storyline is brought into future live-action movies.

Jean Grey and Wolverine

Jean Grey has always been with Scott Summers but when Logan came into the scene, she was smitten by his personality. Although, Logan never minded about Grey being with Summers. Amid in the incarnations of the teams and several other adventures, Logan was not sure about their relationship. But somewhere they held a special heart-to-heart bond with each other.

Superman and Lois Lane

Lois Lane is Superman’s love and she has been around ever since Superman’s character rolled out in 1938’s Action Comics #1. In all popular mediums like novels, animated cartoons, newspaper comic strips, film, and television, Lane was always a part of the Superman stories. The relationship was a little complex as well.

Gwen Stacy and Spider-Man

In “Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane #5,” Gwen Stacy was the first girl with whom Peter Parker began a close friendship with. In Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane #9, both of them took the relation to the next level followed by a compassionate kiss. But she was not his first love. Before Stacy met Parker, Betty Brant dated him. However, with Stacy, Parker was in true love.

Deadpool and Vanessa Carlysle

Superhero

Before Wade Wilson became the ‘Merc With The Mouth,’ Vanessa Carlysle lived with the normal personality of him. Even after he was detected with cancer, she never left him and stood by his side to battle the deadly disease. And when he returned with the burned face after becoming Deadpool, her love for him didn’t fade away.
