Frozen 2: Here’s What We Know

“Let it go, let it go” … and no way we want to let it go. So here’s to all Frozen fans, a sequel is on the way and this time, it’s sooner than later, as confirmed by Disney.

Disney has been pressured by Frozen fans to get the sequel finished as soon as possible. The production team is ardently working on the project to get it completed. Very soon we would get to see the posters and the official trailer of the movie.

Brace yourself for the next news – Anna would be the villain in the Frozen 2. Though a lot of speculation is on, but the primary reason being, Anna would discover her own powers and know that she was adopted by the late King and Queen of Arendelle, she would turn to the dark side. AND…while Anna kills Elsa, Rapunzel will take over the throne.

The reason Anna would turn villain is due to the after effect of her “Frozen” heart from the original Frozen concept.

Apparently, during the course of the movie Anna starts getting jealous of Elsa and her long lost sister Rapunzel, so this is when she plots the murder of both the sisters.

So while Rapunzel survives the murder, Elsa falls off the cliff and dies.

Idina Menzel while in conversation with E! News, Elsa will definitely die in the movie. According to Menzel, Elsa will die after falling off a cliff. “We are at story writing and they’re working on it and I think I’m in it,”Frozen 2,” actress Idina Menzel said. “That’s all I know – unless maybe Elsa falls off an ice cliff and she dies in the first five minutes.

Menzel continued to say – since the movie is still in a development phase, chances are that Frozen 2 could be the end of the series.

After all, these are just speculations and bits and pieces of what has been revealed. Alternately, there are chances that a highlight of the movie would be based on the theme of homosexuality, while they tackle issues that young people often face.

Co-Director, Chris Buck stated a whole new side of Elsa would be revealed in this movie. According to Buck – “In Frozen she had such a dramatic journey, and at the end, she’s just starting to feel like she can open up and have some fun again. That’s what was really good about the short — we could have fun with Elsa. And that personality… you will see in the next one.

In the first part, we saw Elsa as a misunderstood Villain who’s trying to come in terms of her powers leading her to the dark side. While her sister helps to face her fears and “Let it Go”.

The song “Let it Go”, will continue to be the highlight of the movie, according to Tim Robey. “I think they’ll definitely try to position one song as a Let It Go-trumping central number. At a guess, though, it might be a duet between the sisters. They only shared about four scenes in the first film, so I feel the more detailed development of that relationship has got to be the way to go.

This is my favorite part of the news – Olaf will get a girlfriend in Frozen 2, adding to the cuteness factor to this movie.

Chris Buck would be joined by Jennifer Lee, and the movie would be produced by Peter Del Vecho to be released in 2017. Joining the original cast would be Menzel (Elsa), Kristen Bell (Anna), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff), and Josh Grad (Olaf).
