Claire and Thomas Yates get romantically involved
The relationship between Claire and Yates isn’t as intense as it is cringe-worthy. The “Scorpio” writer reappears as a scriptwriter for Frank’s campaign after being a prominent part of the last season. Things go sideways when he accompanies Claire to Texas and ends up sleeping with her. To his, and no one else’s shock, Frank approves of their relationship. Rest assured, the scene when the 3 of them have breakfast together is awkward, to say the least.
