Vin Diesel seems to be getting over the feud as he has praised Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) for his role in the upcoming Fast and The Furious 8. He said that Johnson “shines” in the movie. Dwayne Johnson’s social media tirade over “the co-stars being unprofessional” targeted Vin Diesel. Moreover, they didn’t like his move for taking out the feud publicly on social media.
In a recent post last week, Vin said:
The reason we brought Dwayne Johnson into Fast 5 was because of you (the fans).
“There was a girl named Jan Kelly who said, ‘I would love to see you work together on screen.’ So the role that was originally written for Tommy Lee Jones, we gave it to Dwayne and he shined in it.” he added.
Earlier this month, Johnson also slammed some his co-stars through an Instagram post, calling them “candy a**ses”.
According to US Magazine, Vin Diesel, who is also producing the film secretly had a conversation about the ongoing rant. As of now, it seems that the rant is still not over. Recently, Johnson wrapped up his shooting scenes and took to Instagram to thank his fellow co-stars singling out some, but not Vin Diesel. He excluded Diesel out of the recent Fast 8 thank-you list.
“Finished strong and on to the next. That’s an official wrap on #FastAndFurious8. Thank you to our director @fgarygray for the vision and execution. Thank you UNIVERSAL for being tremendous partners as always, thank you to all my fellow co-stars for the daily effort and grind,” he said in an Instagram picture of himself standing next to a private plane.
“Scott Eastwood you handsome sumbitch!” he added. “Natalie Emmanuel I have a cold Budweiser ready for you and Tyrese Gibson you still have the biggest smile and forehead I’ve ever seen,” he added.
