The Flash Season 2 is increasingly getting more intricate and complex in its plot. It has already touched upon themes such as parallel universes, alternate timelines as it has entered into “multi-verse” territory. It became very clear from the last season when Flash broke through the time-space continuum and saw Killer Frost who is none other than Earth-2 version of Caitlin Snow.
In the DC comic-world, there are four different versions of the character but Caitlin Snow is the most prominent one, she is a bright young scientist working at STAR LABS in the Arctic circle, where she got inspired by the work of deceased researcher Dr. Louise Lincoln in the area of thermodynamics. When Caitlin succeeded in finishing the S.T.U. engine, her colleagues turned on her and turned out to be working for H.I.V.E. Moreover, they were also responsible for Lincoln’s death. In the spur of the moment, Caitlin ripped out the wires for the engine’s coolant system, as a result, her biological structure got totally covered with permafrost. She became a vampiric being or KILLER FROST who is always craving for heat and killed the H.I.V.E. agents. There is also a Suicide-Squad version of her character in DC comics.
In Earth-2, Killer Frost and Deathstorm form a deadly alliance that could threaten the very foundation of existence.
