Warner Bros. Drops Alternate Ending For Shazam Online

Hey guys, have you heard about the new alternate ending for Shazam that Warner Bros. Apparently they decided to release this alternate ending to promote the sequel, Shazam! Fury of the Gods. I know it’s been a few years since the movie came out, but just posted online for free. Let’s briefly discuss the first Shazam! movie before moving on to the alternate ending. Although it didn’t perform well at the box office, many people still found it to be very enjoyable.
The movie told the tale of Billy Batson, a young man who learns how to use a magic word to transform into the superhero Shazam. Billy must battle the evil Dr. Sivana with the help of his foster siblings to stop the world from destroying itself. Back to the alternative conclusion now. In essence, Warner Bros. The first Shazam! movie’s alternate ending is depicted in a clip that was uploaded to their YouTube channel. In this version, Billy, Freddy, Eugene, Darla, Pedro, and Mary of the Shazam Family take Victor and Rosa, their foster parents, to the backyard to show them a massive Christmas tree they had decorated.

Then, “some time later,” the kids are seen watching TV while sitting on the couch as news of a hostage situation breaks out downtown. The family leaves the house, yells the secret phrase, changes into their superhuman selves, and takes off to save the day. Apparently, director David F. In reality, Sandberg, this alternative conclusion was filmed as a fallback in case the cameo at the very end didn’t work. You may recall that the original ending showed the kids eating lunch in the cafeteria of their school when Billy appears in his Shazam form and tells Freddy Freeman that he brought a friend with him.

Then, Henry Cavill’s Superman appears in a brief cameo, though we only get to see him from the neck down. The inclusion of deleted scenes, according to Sandberg, always causes some discomfort because they were dropped for a reason and are frequently very rough because production on them had already stopped. He compared it to giving a speech while wearing only your underwear, but he still deemed it worthwhile because some fans might find it intriguing.

Let’s now talk briefly about Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Unfortunately, the film has had a terrible box office performance and has received mixed reviews. This implies that the franchise’s future is up in the air and that a Shazam! sequel may not materialize. Overall, the alternate conclusion to the first Shazam! film is a fun addition to the plot and offers an additional sentimental scene with the family lighting their new Christmas tree. If you’re a fan of the movie, you should still give it a look even though it might not be as memorable as the original ending.
