Fantastic Four’s Sue Storm Casting Rumored to be Based on Dakota Johnson

According to recent rumors, Fantastic Four’s Sue Storm casting is said to be based on Dakota Johnson. Insider Jeff Sneider revealed on The Hot Mic podcast that the studio is looking to cast someone in the 30-35 age range with a similar appearance to Johnson. However, it is unclear if Johnson is being considered for the role herself, as she is already involved in the Sony Spider-Man Universe as Madame Web.

The Fantastic Four movie, set to release on Feb 14, 2025, has received a lot of casting speculation, with names like Dev Patel and Mila Kunis being rumored for the roles of Reed Richards and Sue Storm, respectively. The director of the movie, Matt Shakman, recently confirmed that they are still in the early stages of casting and nothing is certain. Meanwhile, Dakota Johnson is set to star in the upcoming Madame Web movie, which is scheduled for release on Feb 16, 2024. In the film, Johnson plays the titular character, a clairvoyant psychic who uses her powers to see into the Spider-Verse. The movie is directed by S.J. Clarkson, known for her work on The Defenders, Jessica Jones, Anatomy of a Scandal, Succession, and more.

The screenplay is written by Kerem Sanga (The Violent Heart), with Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless (Morbius, Power Rangers, Gods of Egypt) also contributing. As for the Fantastic Four movie, information on the plot and casting is scarce, with the release date recently being pushed back from November 2024 to February 2025. However, the leader of the Fantastic Four, Reed Richards, has already been seen in the MCU after a cameo appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, played by John Krasinski. Despite this, it is unlikely that Krasinski will reprise his role in the upcoming movie.

The Fantastic Four is one of Marvel’s most iconic superhero teams, consisting of Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Sue Storm (The Invisible Woman), Johnny Storm (The Human Torch), and Ben Grimm (The Thing). They gained their powers after being exposed to cosmic rays during a space mission and have since fought against various supervillains and threats to the world. With the Fantastic Four set to make their debut in the MCU, fans are eagerly anticipating the casting and plot details for the highly anticipated film. The previous two attempts to bring the team to the big screen were met with mixed reviews, with many fans feeling that the movies failed to capture the essence of the characters and their relationships with one another.

Marvel Studios has had great success with their previous superhero movies, with the Avengers franchise becoming one of the highest-grossing film series of all time. Fans are hoping that the studio will be able to do justice to the Fantastic Four and bring them to life in a way that stays true to their comic book roots while also fitting in with the larger MCU. As for Dakota Johnson, her involvement in the Sony Spider-Man Universe as Madame Web has sparked speculation that the character could eventually cross over into the MCU. However, this has yet to be confirmed by either Marvel or Sony.

Overall, the upcoming Fantastic Four movie is shrouded in mystery, with little information available about the plot or casting. However, the rumors about using Dakota Johnson as the blueprint for Sue Storm have given fans some idea of what to expect in terms of the character’s appearance. With the release date still, a few years away, fans will have to wait patiently for more information about the highly anticipated movie.
