GOTG Vol 3 Villain Powers Revealed In The New Trailer

Marvel fans have been eagerly anticipating the release of the third installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, and the latest trailer has given them plenty to be excited about. The trailer quickly became the highest-viewed teaser in the Super Bowl, with fans dissecting every second of it for clues about the upcoming movie. One of the biggest reveals in the trailer was a glimpse of the GOTG vol 3 villain, which is Chukwudi Iwuji’s High Evolutionary. Fans of the Marvel comics will recognize the character as a man obsessed with evolution and experimentation with genetics.

In fact, he’s the one who created Rocket Raccoon himself through torturous methods. Needless to say, the confrontation between the Guardians and the High Evolutionary is going to be personal. The trailer gives fans a good look at the High Evolutionary’s interesting costume design. He’s seen wearing a completely purple suit with what looks like a human face stretched over his head. While that’s certainly creepy, the trailer also shows off a small glimpse of the character’s power set in the form of self-levitation.

However, fans of the comics know that self-levitation is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the High Evolutionary’s powers. In the comics, his high-tech suit allows him to advance his personal evolution at will, resulting in a wide variety of superpowers. He has classical super strength, concussive force blasts, force fields, mass manipulation, and even the capability for astral projecting. At one point, the character evolved so much that he became a non-corporal God-like entity. It’s worth noting that the High Evolutionary’s suit isn’t the only source of his power. He’s also incredibly intelligent, with a level of intellect that’s beyond human.

In the comics, he’s able to create and manipulate advanced technology and has a vast knowledge of genetics and evolution. Of course, it’s possible that the movie will tone down the High Evolutionary’s powers, as director James Gunn is known for making significant changes to the source material. For example, the character’s purple color scheme is a departure from his normal crimson or burgundy, which some fans have found odd. Additionally, the utilization of high-tech suits is also a common theme between the High Evolutionary and another upcoming Marvel villain, Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror.

However, while Kang’s suit is simply advanced technology, the High Evolutionary’s suit is a key part of his powers, allowing him to advance his personal evolution at will. Despite the potential changes to the character, fans are still excited to see the Guardians take on the High Evolutionary. The franchise is known for its humor, action, and unique take on the superhero genre and the addition of the High Evolutionary is sure to bring plenty of excitement and drama to the mix.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to hit theaters on May 1, and fans are counting down the days until they can see their favorite cosmic misfits on the big screen once again. And also lets us know what you think about the GOTG vol 3 villain in the comments.
