2019 saw the resurgence of Keanu Reeves as he totally ruled the year, starring in John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum and Toy Story 4. That Resurgence led to his return in The Matrix 4 as well. But sadly, the film didn’t turn out to be any good. So, the Keanu fever has been low lately. But it’ll soon spread again with 4 of his upcoming projects that everyone’s looking forward to. Here are the upcoming movies of Keanu Reeves and one TV show:
John Wick 4 & 5
Initially, John Wick 4 & 5 were going to be shot back to back, and they were supposed to come out in 2021 and 2022. But COVID delayed all the plans, and now Chapter 4 is set for a March 24, 2023 release. We just got a trailer recently, and it looks solid. Part 5 should follow it up in 2024 to wrap up the story of this Baba Yaga! It will complete the five stages of grief for Mr. Wick after he lost his wife. Then he could finally rest (in peace, maybe). It’ll be interesting to see how this franchise tops the last three movies regarding its kills.
BRZRKR
Keanu Reeves appeared at SDCC 2022 to announce his new movie based on the BRZRKR comic series. It will follow the story of an immortal warrior, Berzerker, who fights his way through the ages. We’ve wanted to see Keanu Reeves play a character in the MCU. While that hasn’t happened yet, Berzerker could be the next best thing involving him as it would mix up the superhero genre with the gore and kills of John Wick.
The Devil in the White City
Keanu Reeves is reportedly set to begin filming this Hulu Miniseries, which will feature a story involving a serial killer. It is based on the novel of the same name by Erik Larson. Reeves plays Daniel H. Burnham, an architect who works to build up the 1893 World’s Fair. Then, the serial killer H. H. Holmes uses the fair to attract and kill women. Starting in 2023, we should get the show on Hulu in 2024.
