The Boys Finale Would Give Us a Battle That Marvel and DC Could Never
The Boys season 3 has had a strong reception and people were always excited to see Jensen Ackles coming in as Ben, aka Soldier Boy. Episode 5 just brought back Soldier Boy in all his glory. He has only begun but it’s needless to say that he is turning out to be an awesome addition to season 3. And now, he is ready to take on the biggest bad boy in town (probably to take his throne for himself). I’m talking about Homelander of course! The Boys finale will be giving us a match-up between them for sure.
As it is obvious, Soldier Boy is a satirical rendition of Captain America and Homelander is a douchey version of Superman. So, we’re basically going to get a Superman vs Captain America. Only this time, they won’t fight to see who is the noblest and the most righteous one among all American heroes. They would instead be fighting to see who’s the douchiest of all!
Obviously, this is the sort of match-up that Marvel and DC would never give us since those houses won’t unite. But even in the MCU, we cannot get to see Captain America fighting a Superman-like figure. He never battled Thor or Captain Marvel. Ikaris vs Steve could have been nice but both of them are out of the picture. DC on the other hand doesn’t really have a true Captain America replacement and they are not doing anything with Superman.
So get ready because The Boys will make all your fantasies come true. And they’ve actually given Soldier Boy an advantage with his radiation-infused energy blasts. His strength and durability also match Homelander. But on top of taking hits, he might be able to depower Homelander if he manages to land a hit on him with one of those attacks. It is going to be a total smash fest in the finale. But let’s just hope that these two don’t become allies. Then, they could really rule the planet together!
