The Blue Arm In Ms. Marvel Episode 3 Explained

The third episode of Disney+’s Ms Marvel is finally out and revealed some pretty big details about the origin of Kamala and her great-grandmother. And by the information is revealed and the amounts of easter eggs it contained, this episode was, no doubt, a major one! The episode finally revealed Aisha(Mehwish Hayat) and her group and how they came across the bangle. However, ever since the episode aired, there have been continuous debates as to whose blue hand was wearing the bangle?! And we think we have solved this mystery so keep up with this post to know about the blue arm in Ms Marvel.

Blue Arm In Ms Marvel

Ms Marvel episode 3 opened up with a prologue from 1947 at the time of the India-Pakistan partition. It featured the group of the Clandestine (that we later find out) as they are looking for the bangles. We find out that they are exiles from another dimension called the Noor, and are now finding their way back. They believe that the bangles will create a passage for them to go back to Noor and are now searching for them. The prologue explains that after finding them at many ancient sites, they finally find what they were looking for. However, they find the bangle still in the hand of its last wearer, foreshadowing a dark twist at the end! More on that later, but first, whose was the blue hand?!

THE MYSTERY OF THE BLUE HAND- ALL POSSIBILITIES

When many viewers noticed the bangle on the blue hand, everyone who knew about the comics’ Djinn, guessed it to be one of them. The Djinn are ancient beings, who perished from the Earth long ago. However, many pre-Islamic Arabic pieces of literature mention them as demons or the creatures of the dreams. In the modern age, Islamic literature adopted this in their mythologies and theologies and feature them as blue beings. This episode also sees Najma and her group admit that over the years they have lived, they have had many names, including the Djinns. So, it’s easy to conclude that they might not be the only ones from the Noor Dimension to visit Earth. And the ones who came before them left bangles that are their ticket home.

But many viewers who are well-versed with Kamala Khan’s comic origin argue that this hand has something to do with her comic origin. Especially the part where she is part-Kree due to the dormant X-gene in her genome. Or more specifically, she s an Inhuman! To which, there has been no clue so far, so this might be the first. These fans think that the hand might belong to a Kree, who might have had relations with someone from Kamala’s family. And that is why the bangle can affect Kamala like it could have affected him/her. Also, this is a direct reference to what many fans have been theorizing: the bangles are actually Nega-Bands, worn by the Captain Mar-Vell.

This explains how the bangle’s tech seems to be way ahead of time. It could simply be alien tech. This also lines up with the fact that the Kree that wore the bangle could be an Inhuman. This indicates that Kamala could still be an Inhuman, despite the changes in her powers and origin. But we think that it is all so much more than that!

BUT HOW DOES A HIDDEN EASTER EGG CHANGES THINGS?!

During the prologue, the camera view cleverly shifts to an angle where we can see all 4 of the Clandestine, except for Aadam and the ground they are standing on. The ground has a very clear inscription of the infamous Ten Rings Organisation, headed by Wenwu whom we met in 2021’s Shang-Chi. This clever easter egg changes a lot of things about the mysterious bangle(s) because one of them was hidden in a tomb created by the Ten Rings organization. The movie featured a similar historic relic whose origin is also unknown as of now. Also, the end of the movie saw Carol Danvers admit that the Ten Rings’ tech was something she had never seen before.

So, there is a possibility that the Bangles don’t belong to the Kree or the Djinn but someone else entirely. If we go by this, this could tie the MCU up with a cosmic entity, much bigger than anything we have experienced so far. And that is exactly what Shang-Chi writers claimed when they explained the changes in the origins of the Ten Rings!
