2 Surprising Cameos Deleted From Moon Knight Revealed

It has been almost a couple of months since Moon Knight ended, and we’re waiting for some new intel that tells us where we could see Jake Lockley next. Several hints in the narrative suggested that we would get a second season of the series. People always expect a few cameos in every MCU project. But sadly, Moon Knight did not give us any. There were hopes for a Hulk or a Blade cameo, but that didn’t happen. But there were two other surprising cameos deleted from Moon Knight.

Cameos Deleted From Moon Knight

In an interview with Discussing FilmMoon Knight head writer and executive producer Jeremy Slater stated that he wanted Old Man Steve Rogers to appear in the show. He even said that Dane Whitman was in consideration as well.

He revealed:

“…There were definitely different times in the writing process where we talked about cameos because cameos are one of the most fun things to discuss in a writer’s room. What happens if we try to get Chris Evans back as old Captain America? You know, you sit there and play that “what if” game among your writers. The only two that we seriously discussed? Dane Whitman from Eternal of course, because at the time Steven Grant was going to be working at the same museum. But there was never any logical reason for him to be in the show. As a Marvel fan, I would be frustrated if Dane showed up for another cameo and it didn’t progress his story or give us any teasers for the Black Knight. Then we also talked about including the Eternals, specifically Kingo and Makkari. We were originally planning to show the original fall of Ammit and the death of Alexander the Great in a flashback sequence, and that seemed like it could naturally dovetail with an appearance from the Eternals.”

Well, a Captain America cameo may not have been possible since Chris Evans is very iffy on returning to the MCU. But we should have got Dane Whitman. He was last seen in London and his cameo would have made total sense. In fact, he should have shown up with Blade, setting up a London-based MI-13 team. That might just be a missed opportunity.
