The Marvel Comic Verse is home to all sorts of powerful entities. Their abilities are beyond comprehension and operate far beyond our own level. The Asgardians are a prime example of this. Their technology is so advanced that it seems like magic to earthlings. With the last trailer of Love And Thunder, we saw that Valkyrie was meeting with world leaders. We think that these people are trying to get favorable trading terms with New Asgard. Whatever the case might be, it is clear that this is a race of exceptionally powerful creatures. So we came up with a list of 10 insanely powerful Asgardian Gods. Take a look and let us know if we missed anything.
Odin
Odin is the leader of the Asgardians and he stands above all of them. His word is the law and his Odinforce is unmatched in the universe. There is very little that can stand up to the King of Asgard. The All-Father rules with an iron and the comic version of the character is much stricter than the loving and concerned father we got in the MCU.
Hela
Hela, also known as Hel in classic Norse mythology is the daughter of Odin and the Goddess of Death. Hela led the forces of Odin in battle when these Gods were establishing peace throughout the realms. During this time she conquered many civilizations and won a lot of wars. Her battle prowess is second to none.
Thor
The eldest son of Odin wields the Mjolnir and the power of lightning. Apart from this, his core strength is his robust body and the ability to squeeze power out of it. Thor is known as the great hero who won the water against the giants and he is the most powerful Avenger in the MCU.
The Mighty Thor
After Thor became unworthy in the comics, Jane Foster took control of Mjolnir and became The Mighty Thor. Her power was unparalleled and she kept everyone guessing about her real identity for a long time. She is a powerful God of Thunder. Her accomplishments include killing the Mangog’s latest resurrection in the comics. Sadly, she also lost her life after this.
Bor
Bor is the father of Odin and grandfather to Thor. He is a powerful ancient hero who is worthy enough to lift the Mjolnir. His power is unparalleled and his war achievements are well lauded. He doesn’t even need a weapon because he can destroy entire planets with just a thought. It took all of Thor’s might to defeat him just once in the comics.
Loki
Loki is the God of Mischief of the Asgardian Pantheon. He has the capability to shapeshift and can perform a wide range of illusory magic. But Loki’s true strength is his strategizing mind. Only he can come up with a plan where the enemy will hand over all of his power willingly. He has been a constant thorn in the side of Thor for decades.
The Enchantress
The Enchantress is a powerful and knowledgeable character who can perform reality-altering magic at the drop of a hat. She possesses unparalleled knowledge of Asgardian lore and this makes her extremely dangerous. She defeated Thor in their first encounter.
Freyja Freyrdottir
Frigga, also known as Freyja Freyrdottir is the leader of the Valkyries and the wife of Odin. She is the most powerful witch in all of Asgard and possesses the same battle prowess as her people. In fact, it is said that Queen Valkyrie is undefeated in Battle. She doesn’t even need the Bifrost to travel in the comics.
Aldrif Odinsdottir
Aldrif Odinsdottir, better known as Angela is a powerful Asgardian God who brought Asgard to its knees when she escaped the afterlife. She is blessed with a divine armor that makes her virtually invincible and her strength is on par with Thor.
Heimdall
Idris Alba played one of the most powerful Asgardian Gods in the MCU. Heimdall was once considered the greatest warrior in the land. So God Odin gave him the responsibility to watch over all the realms and make sure that the peace he established flourished. With his all-seeing eyes and the control of the Bifrost, Heimdall uses dark magic to stand guard and he puts down the enemies of Asgard without remorse or prejudice.
