Unused Costumes of Agatha Harkness From WandaVision Revealed

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is known for its plans and their exploring details before the projects. Whatever we get to finally see on the screen goes through a lot of interesting exploration in terms of character design and choice. This actually helps the creators and the people involved with the project to find a suitable vision for every character that we are going to witness. One of the very first characters that Marvel introduced through WandaVision was Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness. And now, Marvel has just revealed some concept character designs of unused costumes of Agatha Harkness. Keep up to check them out.

Agatha Harkness

WandaVision was the very first of the shows in Disney+ that was canon to the MCU and it was an absolute ride. The series explored the breakdown from Wanda’s character and how she dealt with the losses that she had felt over the years. There were a lot of interesting characters who appeared in the series with part of the series exploring the narrative from the perspective of Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau. But around the seventh episode of the series, fans saw that the entire narrative was being played out by someone else entirely. It was revealed that most of Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness had been behind the events of the series “All Along“.

Kathryn Hahn gave a brilliant performance as the character of Harkness in the series. Such was the popularity of the character that fans now we are also going to a series based entirely on the character herself. It was announced last year that a series House of Harkness is already under development with Hahn returning to take on the role. When Marvel fans asked Marvel Studios President regarding Harkness’ next appearance, he replied:

Someday. Someday soon. You will see Kathryn Hahn in Knives Out 2 next, then maybe an assortment of other things. But within the MCU, it can’t come soon enough. Let’s put it that way.

Unused Costumes of Agatha Harkness

With Marvel’s WandaVision: The Art of the Series hitting the shelves, secrets surrounding the series are being revealed. These include some interesting character designs for Hahn’s take on the role of Agatha Harkness. The very first of these designs show the character in a green drape lined with gold. Underneath this is a tropical shit and she is also wearing a blue beaded necklace. This appears to be quite a modern appearance for the character.

Another look appears to be a lot more hip with groovy attire, baggy pants, and rings adorning her fingers.

But the most modern look actually takes it a lot more ahead with a studded leather jacket and ripped jeans.

While all the previous costumes paid attention to her attire, this one actually gives a certain daunting tone for the witch. While the costume is a mix of both modern elements and some other mystical elements, the hairdo takes it to a whole new level.

This is not the first time that we have gotten to see a different appearance for the character in the series. Some other unused designs were revealed for the character when David Massons posted completely different concept art on Instagram. This costume was actually a lot more different from the ones that have now been revealed. We can see that it reflects her character’s own history to the period where we first got to see her using her powers in the flashback sequence. There are elements of this costume that were actually used in the final appearance for the character.

Now that the character is going to get her own series, we can expect some of these costumes to make it into the narrative of the series. It would be interesting to see how the character is explored using these costumes. Not much is known about the plot of the series but according to rumors, fans might get a chance to see the character making an appearance in Doctor Strange 2. Considering the movie will explore multiversal chaos, Agatha’s experience with the Darkhold might come to use.

Kathryn Hahn will soon make her return as Agatha (probably in Multiverse of Madness). And she is also set to star in Agatha: House of Harkness which should arrive by the end of 2023, or early 2024.
