Marvel studios are known for being true marketing geniuses when it comes to promoting their brand or movies. They are well-researched, methodical and meticulous in their approach. They deliver flawless execution from pre-production to post-production to trailers to final cut of the movie. But there are occasions when Marvel did’nt live up to its name and almost trolled their most loyal audience who have complete faith in them. They misled the audience through their trailers promising them the moon while the final product was terribly poor. For instance, in the entire campaign of Iron Man 3, the fans were promised the bid bad Mandarin in the form of Ben Kingsley but guess what he was just a stupid diversion created by Aldrich Killian.

He was an admirer turned hater of Tony Stark who came face to face with the man himself. In the whole movie, Tony Stark spent time thinking whether he is good enough to don the Iron Man mantle again or not, meanwhile both US President and Pepper Potts were in danger and later rescued by Iron Man. The fight sequences were quite impressive than what people give credit to.

12. Ant-Man vs Falcon

In 2015, we saw Ant-Man as a reluctant “average joe” Scott Lang who puts on a powerful suit that transformed him into a superhero. It was a huge gamble taken by Marvel at the time as other properties like Thor, Captain America, Iron Man were quite successful, but it paid off. Unlike other Marvel superheroes, Ant-Man integrated a more comical tone to the superhero’s story, whether it was the situations that Lang landed himself in or his close-knit group of friends that presented the audiences with scenes that were more reminiscent of comic-book sketches.

The fight between two newest Avengers – Ant-Man and Falcon was extremely satisfying and fulfilling. When Scott Lang aka Ant-Man tried to break into Avengers headquarters, he ran into Falcon and they fought rough and hard but the scene is soothing to eyes for some reason. It was Lang’s awkwardness meeting military training of Falcon.

11. Iron Man vs Cap vs Thor

The Avengers was the first big Marvel superhero ensemble movie in 2012 and it was a monstrous hit. It earned over $1 Billion worldwide in box-office collections and is among the top 5 highest earning superhero movies of all time. Iron Man attacked him relentlessly while Cap’s Shield could deflect the rays of lightning, hence clearing the forest.

10. The Lift Scene – Captain America: Winter Soldier

After the successful launch of Captain America franchise, its sequel took it to the next level. It was more like an espionage thriller than a run-of-the-mill superhero outing. SHIELD was penetrated by HYDRA, and the Winter soldier was menacing as a villain. He was believed to be dead but it was revealed that he got resurrected years ago as Winter Soldier. The movie was more of spy drama and superhero stuff rolled into one.

The famous “lift scene” had Steve Rogers inside the lift with a bunch of HYDRA operatives and he was forced to fight them all. Guess what, he single-handedly took them down and got off the elevator like a boss. He destroyed almost a dozen guys without getting a scratch. It demonstrated an amazing strength of Captain America and Russo brothers style of movie-making.

9. Dr. Strange vs Lucian

Nevertheless, the movie got the nomination for Oscars and other prestigious awards in the category of visual effects and production design.

Fans got really excited when they got to see Tony Stark Suit up as Ironman and that too in a cave. While his first suit might look like trash in front of his other suits but it still did the job for him and delivered a great action scene. He bludgeoned a bunch of terrorists and made an amazing exit.

5. Opening Fight – Deadpool

The Expressway scene in the 2015 R-rated flick also acts as the introduction scene, both to the film as well as to the character. With over the top violence, complemented with the character’s humor and 4thwall breaking moments, the scene is a delight, as it not only stays true to the character but also sets the temperature of the film.

4. The Train Scene – Spider-Man 2

The train fight between Doctor Octopus and Spider-Man sure is one of the most thrilling scenes Marvel ever has had offered. The scene truly shows what Spider-Man’s character is like. Be it his relentless effort to save the citizens after Doc Ock rips out the brakes out of the speeding train even when that almost requires him to sacrifice himself, or be it the love of the citizens for him after finding out that he’s just a boy, all in all, the scene is a treat to the fans.

3. Captain America v Winter Soldier

The scene where the Winter Soldier attacks Black Widow, Falcon and Captain America is even better than the climatic fight. The fight is close ranged and intimate, making it all the more fun, the cherry on top was Cap, in the end finding out that the Winter Soldier is no one other than his childhood friend, Bucky.

2. Avengers vs Chitauri

The battle of New York is probably one of the best battle sequences in the entire MCU history. It was the first time that our favorite superheroes came in together as a team to fight the alien invasion of the Chuitari. The camaraderie is phenomenal and so is the action packed sequence taking place all over Manhattan.

1. Airport Fight – Civil War

marvel

It was the most anticipated superhero movie of 2016, and it delivered big pay-off for the Marvel fans. It opened to the entire world and raked in massive box office collections surpassing Billion dollar mark. The reviews were largely positive, rotten tomatoes rating stands at 90%. But, it could’nt break the opening weekend record of Avengers: Age of Ultron ($191 milion), let alone The Avengers ($207 million).

But this fight scene is undoubtedly ‘THE BEST’ that Marvel has come up with yet. Be it the quirky dialogues, or using each superhero’s powers to the best or be it the introduction of Spider-Man, or be it the dream come true moment, where heroes fight heroes, this fight was nothing less than perfect.
