Secret Invasion is amongst the most exciting of the Disney+ projects set to come out this year. Fans are wondering what they will get to see in the series as the details of the projects have been kept under wraps. The most exciting bit is that there are people involved in the project but there’s no indication of their roles. Some of the only roles known in the movie are the people we have seen before in the MCU. Now it seems that another actor will be reprising his role in the upcoming MCU project based on leaked details. Set photos for Disney+ series Secret Invasion tease the return of Don Cheadle as Colonel James Rhodes a.k.a. War Machine.

There is a lot of hype surrounding the narrative as it is one of the most interesting arcs in Marvel history. Fans are wondering how it will be explored considering the casting has revealed that it will feature a limited cast in the main roles. We will get to see Samuel L. Jackson reprising his role as Nick Fury in the series next to Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos. The duo will be leading with Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill also returning to action. But the project will definitely be a larger entry considering the otherwise massive cast joining in for the project.

Fans got to see set photos of Emilia Clarke’s character recently but there was no clarification about her role. It was indicated that she might be portraying a spy working for SHIELD and Maria Hill might have something to do with it. There has been no reveal regarding Olivia Colman’s role in the series as she is also another major name associated with the project. Fans have theorized that Kingsley Ben-Adir will be portraying a Skrull villain in the series based on rumors. While these details aren’t clear about the project, it seems we might have a chance to see War Machine appear in the series.
Rhodey In Secret Invasion Set Photos!!!
User @the_insta_phils shared some behind the scene photos from the Liverpool Street Stations sets of Secret Invasion. A lot of exciting details have been made available about the series to the public based on these photos. According to the images, some interesting references were made to some mysterious aliens and this includes a reference to Rogers: The Musical. This musical was a major part of the narrative of the last Disney+ series Hawkeye. According to a newspaper present in the sets of the series, a War Machine might be returning sooner than we might have imagined.
The newspaper confirms that Don Cheadle might end up having a cameo in the series at least. It shows James Rhodes greeting President Ritson who will be the newest President of the United States in the MCU. The newspaper headline reads “President Ritson in London for Emergency Talks“. We can clearly see Rhodey in a suit and tie which is quite different from his last appearance in a military uniform. This newspaper might give a sneak peek at an essential plot point for the series. According to what can be seen in the newspaper, the President will be meeting the British Prime Minister due to “unprecedented tensions” that led to an “emergency summit“.
Rhodey was last seen appearing in the Disney+ series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. We are also aware that the character will be leading the upcoming Armor Wars series even though not much is known about the series. These appearances might act as an essential means to set up the arc for his own series and the responsibilities that he might be facing. Armor Wars will explore the narrative of Stark’s tech falling into the wrong hands and it could be referenced in the other shows. Based on the number of projects set to come out soon, it won’t be surprising to see a few more characters appear in the series.
Secret Invasion is set to release sometime around this year, or maybe it will begin 2023 for us.
