Why Avengers 5 Will Happen No Matter What

One of the biggest events in the MCU has to be when all the heroes come together across a common enemy. The last time we got to witness such an event was with Avengers: Endgame. Everything that happened with that narrative has had a massive impact on the future of the franchise. A lot of interesting new characters have made their debut in the MCU and fans are wondering when we will get to see them team up in a narrative. But recent comments from Kevin Feige have indicated that we might not get to see another Avengers project featuring the character. Despite what Kevin Feige had to say about Endgame being the final Avengers movie, Avengers 5 will happen for sure. It is inevitable.

Infinity Saga

The Infinity Saga is the very first chapter in the MCU that we got to see featuring the characters. Each one of the characters that were introduced over the years in the individual narratives laid the bricks to a larger narrative. We finally saw all of them come together in the Avengers movies. The very first entry in these movies featured Thanos in the post-credits scene. He would end up being the big baddie and the heroes would have to deal with him in the final chapter of the saga. This finale was marked by Avengers: Endgame which is amongst the best entries in the MCU.

Avengers 5 will happen

Considering the Avengers movies are basically the heroes coming together, it was assumed that we will get to see more entries under that title. But Marvel Studios president says otherwise:

Marvel Studios and the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now past their tenth anniversary and with the release of the final Avengers movie, we’ve finally completed a 22-movie Infinity Saga

Where do we go from there? Where do we start? What we really wanted to do was two things: start fresh with whole new characters, new storylines, but also go back to some of the deepest richest mythology in all of Marvel Comics…

Ending Of The Original Avengers

The original Avengers got a proper ending with the narrative of Endgame. After so many years of work on the narratives of Iron Man, Captain America, and Natasha Romanoff we finally got a proper way to bid them farewell. Iron Man lives up to the title of being the superhero by eventually working out his ego and actually getting a proper ending to his relationship with his father. At the same time, Captain America went back to his timeline so that he can spend the rest of his life with Peggy Carter. This actually gave a much-deserved ending to the characters that exist inside the costumes too.

But the movie also paved the way for a lot of new events. After Endgame a lot of interesting narratives also started getting explored which eventually saw new heroes appearing across the world. Some of these heroes are actually legacy versions of some of the original heroes. At the same time, Spider-Man also managed to overcome the loss of Iron Man who acted like a mentor to him. The rest of the existing Avengers are also paving the way for some new characters to take on their titles. This was seen in the case of Hawkeye and might also be explored with She-Hulk.

Avengers 5 Will happen

The new narratives and the new threats only indicate that we will be getting to see a whole new version of the Avengers. There are a lot of new characters set to make their debut in the recent years in the franchise. It would be interesting to see how these characters come together when a massive threat shows up against them. But even then we need time for proper arcs to be built and a proper villain with the absolute chaos of all these characters in their own solo ventures. We might not get to see Avengers 5 anytime soon but it is inevitable considering the way the franchise is progressing!
