10 Greatest MCU Reveals of 2021 Movies and TV shows

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is an interwoven tapestry of overlapping storylines. To the extent that these storylines coalesce into beautiful climaxes, unlike all others. Now this effect is even more compounded in Phase IV because MCU is finally bringing the Netflix characters into the fold. With the pandemic, the studio has started focusing on Dinsey+ just as much as they did on the movies. So the quality of the content has gone through the roof. We got a total of five Disney+ shows just in 2021. What is in store for us in the years ahead is anybody’s guess. For now, here are the 10 greatest MCU reveals of 2021 movies & TV shows.

“It Was Agatha All Along” – WandaVision

WandaVision started off the new year of the MCU on Disney+. The show focused on Wanda’s despair as she misused her powers and trapped the whole town of Westview in her own sitcom. Moreover, the Scarlet Witch also had a sort of co-conspirator who was working against her dreams all along. Ofcourse, it was Agatha all along. The song that gives us this reveal does so in classic sitcom fashion. Marking, one and for all, that WandaVision is a different kind of an MCU show.

“I’m A Really Good Lawyer” – No Way Home

No Way Home had its series of surprises but we have to say that including Matt Murdock as Peter’s lawyer was probably one of the best ones. Daredevil was the most popular MCU tv show bar none. So it comes as no surprise that Kevin Feige would want to use that character. Getting to see Charlie Cox return as the lawyer in No Way Home, and him catching a brick and counseling Peter is absolutely priceless.

Xialing Takes Over The Ten Rings – Shang-Chi and Legend of the Ten Rings

Greatest MCU Reveals of 2021

The Post credits scene of Shang-Chi and The Ten Rings was a bit different from others. Especially because it featured one of the most surprising reveals of the entire movie. We are talking about how Xialing chose to lead the Ten Rings rather than dismantling her father’s organization. Makes you question who the real successor of WenWu was.

Melina Was Never Melina – Black Widow

The origin story of Natasha Romanoff was one of the more thrilling journeys we went on this year with Marvel. In the third act of the film, Melina gives up Natasha to the Red Room, seemingly betraying her surrogate family. But in the end, it is revealed that it was Natasha wearing an old SHIELD camouflage mask.

Tiamut – Eternals

Eternals was a marvel experiment that did as well as was expected. The Chloe Zhao directed feature had a very peculiar twist that presented what the real role of the Eternals was. They served at the behest of the Celestials to ensure that intelligent life prospered so that the Celestials could use this energy for their new births. This was one of the big reveals of the movie and we were quite shocked that the Earth had a Celestial called Tiamut inside it waiting to be born.

Blade – Eternals

Eternals had one other massive twist that it was hiding in its second post-credits scene. This had to do with Mahershala Ali and Kit Harrington. In one scene the movie unveiled the Ebony Blade and Blade himself. A voice is heard calling out to Kit Harrington as he unveils the secrets of his past as the Black Swordsman, but the character to whom the voice belongs is never seen. Chloe Zhao later clarified in an interview that the voice, in fact, belongs to Mahershala Ali, who will be playing Blade in the MCU.

He Who Remains – Loki

Greatest MCU Reveals of 2021

After the death of both time versions of Thanos in Endgame, fans wondered who would take over as the next big bad. A lot of people knew that Marvel would go the multiverse route but no one knew the next villain. This was resolved in the last episode of Loki when it was revealed that He Who Remains was the one ordering the TVA to prune timelines. The Revelation of Kang which came shortly after was even more surprising.

Multiverse Spider-Men – No Way Home

Undoubtedly, the best reveal of 2021 was when we saw Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield joined Tom Holland in No Way Home. The very fact that Ned called out two different versions of Peter Parker rather than the one native to his universe is mind-boggling. But we also enjoyed this reveal the most. Even though it had been over-hyped and repeated numerous times over the course of the last 18 months.
