10 Superheroes That Use Lightning Powers

Superheroes are great fantasies we want to believe in. All of them may be different from each other but some Superheroes have a lot or at least something in common. There are some aspects that make these Superheroes cool and strong. So here is a list of Superheroes, who use lightning as their ally.

Black Lightning

Black Lightning is one of the first major African American superheroes to appear in DC Comics. He also set the trend of black electrical heroes. He had the power to generate electricity and shoot lightning bolts. His powers originally came from a belt, but this was later reckoned to make him a metahuman.

Static

Static was created for the DC imprint, Milestone, and later became part of the DC comics universe. After being doused with a radioactive chemical by police, Static gained the power to create electric shocks and move metal objects. With his witty comments and science background, he was the black Spiderman. He was later named Static Shock.

Superman Blue

In one of the comic-book storylines, Superman had an electrical accident which turned him into Superman Blue. Superman Blue has all the powers of the normal Superman including super-strength, flight, heat-vision, etc. Beyond his usual powers, Superman Blue can also phase through solid objects, see a different spectrum of light and energy and power himself through electricity. He could also transform back into Clark Kent.

Storm

Storm is a mutant member of the X-Men with the power to control the weather. One of her favorite uses of her power is to summon bolts of lightning. Electricity, always the electricity, and this is what we love about her. Except for the line she used on Toad in the first X-men movie.

Zeus

Zeus is one of or the most powerful Olympian god. He has vast supernatural powers with a focus on weather control, but can accomplish nearly anything including shape-shifting, resurrecting the dead, and creating new life. Even though we love all his omnipotent powers, our favorite is still the Lightning Bolt attacks that he does.

Spider Man (Miles Morales)

When Miles Morales took on the mantle of Ultimate Spiderman after the death of Peter Parker, he also gained new abilities. One ability is what he calls his “venom strike,” an electric shock that can stun or incapacitate his enemies. It goes well with his spider-sense, both powers real spiders don’t have.

The Flash

The Flash has a wide range of powers, which probably makes him the strongest Superhero ever if he uses all his Super powers to perfection. He is the fastest man alive, which allows him to run back and forth in time phase through objects and generate so much of electricity that he can actually throw lightning bolts.

Aquaman

We all know that Arthur Curry/Aquaman is the King of Atlantis and has multiple sets of powers both under water and on Land. He can swim faster than 6000 miles per hour, control the aquatic life and water, has super human strength and Stamina, and he has a magical trident that allows him to summon lightning and make thunder attacks.

Thor

 superheroes

Thor Odinson is the God of Thunder in the Norse mythology and a very popular Avenger. He is probably the strongest Avenger and is the one who is worthy of wielding the Mjolnir, his magic hammer which allows him to fly, and summon electricity and make lightning Attacks. Along with that, he has superhuman strength, stamina, and Durability and in the new Thor trailer, we saw that the God of Thunder wields electricity himself.

Shazam

He is the alter ego of Billy Batson, a boy who, by speaking the magic word “SHAZAM” (acronym of six “immortal elders”: Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles, and Mercury), can transform himself into a costumed adult with the powers of superhuman strength, speed, flight and most importantly, lightning attacks. He can throw Lightning bolts, face through someone as lightning and can even teleport.
