Here’s When The Mandalorian Season 3 Could Arrive On Disney+

Disney+ has established itself as the haven for some of the best shows for fans. This is no surprise considering Disney owns some of the largest franchises now. They are producing some of the best shows based on these franchises instead of sticking to movies only. This plan has actually proven to be a major success as we saw this year with all the shows that were based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. These shows saw a massive response from the fans. Disney has also done with Star Wars, with the live-action series The Mandalorian. 2022 will be an exciting year with so many more shows making their debuts. Here’s a look at when The Mandalorian season 3 could arrive on Disney+.

The Mandalorian

The Mandalorian is a Western-style narrative that follows the narrative of a lone gunfighter who makes his living as a bounty hunter. So far the show has been rather exciting following narratives that have allowed us to explore some parts of the Star Wars that were never touched before. We saw Djarin, played by Pedro Pascal as the character who was raised in the ways of the Mandalore. The series was created by Jon Favreau and it has to be one of the biggest successes that have come from the world of Star Wars in recent years. The show had quite an interesting ending where we got to see a massive reference to the Star Wars films. At the same time, it left us wondering what we would get to see in the show now.

The ending of the second season gave us a finale that had fans going crazy all across the world. Here we got to see the return of a rather young Luke Skywalker who battles with the droids and destroys all of them. We are left to wonder about the fate of the infant alien, Grogu, who leaves along with Luke during the final moments. The ending also set up another show which will be a spinoff from both this series and the originals Star Wars films. This is none other than The Book of Boba Fett which is set to come out very soon.

New Information

Carl Weathers announced that the shooting for the third season will start from tomorrow from his Twitter handle. He even teased about his character by saying that, “Greef Karga will be back on Disney+.” Any other update regarding the third season of the series has been kept under the wraps. This is major because of Lucasfilm’s trademark commitment to secrecy.

Greef Karga was quite an essential character in the first season of The Mandalorian. He was an essential presence in some of the most significant shows of that series. Later he was given lesser prominence in the second season considering Gina Carano’s Cara Dune was given some space in the narrative instead. But now that this character won’t be appearing in the show anymore we can expect to get Greef Karga to have a larger presence overall. This could mean that he could have a rather substantial role in the narrative of the third season.

When The Mandalorian Season 3 Could Arrive?

Since the filming for this season is starting in October, we can expect to see it exactly a year later and around this same time, in the period between October and December of 2022 (if not Early 2023). This will be in continuation to the previous trend that was followed by the series as the first season for the show was released on November 12 of 2019. Similarly, we got to see the second season on October 30th of 2020.

When The Mandalorian Season 3 Could Arrive

Both of the previous seasons of the series were released with almost a year of a gap between them. Favreau and his team stepped away this year to make way for Robert Rodriguez’s upcoming The Book of Boba Fett spinoff series. This series will start from December 29 of this year. This series is already being called The Mandalorian 2.5 considering the massive connections and recurring characters it will have with Mando. Let’s hope The Book of Boba Fett is quite the filler we require before we get to see The Mandalorian Season 3. I just can’t wait to see the clash between Mando and Bo-Katan, and the probable return of little Grogu.
