Shuri Will Be The Reason Riri Williams Becomes Ironheart
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has expanded to unprecedented limits. We started from a single movie and have now received numerous sequels and some of the most amazing crossovers we could ever ask for. More than that, the entire movie universe has given us moments of true excitement and some or true fear. We cannot start to wonder just how this will affect future movies, but we have an idea. One of the most anticipated future projects of The MCU right now is Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which is rumored to introduce Riri Williams in the MCU. A new theory now suggests that Shuri will be the reason Riri Williams becomes Ironheart. This is interesting because it stems from the set pictures that have surfaced recently and suggests a new kind of trend within the fan community. Read on to find out what we mean.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever went into production earlier this year prepping fans for the amazing journey that was bout to come. Most of the fandom was very worried about the future of the series given the death of Chadwick Boseman and us losing our main protagonist. However, it is rumored that Shuri will be the one to step up to the role of the great protector of the Wakandan people. The Black Panther will rise again, and it will most likely be in the form of Shuri taking up the mantle her brother left to her. But there is more to this theory. It has already been confirmed that Riri Williams’ Ironheart will be getting an introduction in the movie, but now we have a new theory as to how this may happen. The last Black Panther movie revealed that King T’challa had a program for gifted students.
Shuri Will Be The Reason
It was revealed that this program mentioned in the film was supposed to be headed by Shuri, a person who is quite gifted herself. Now, things have come to a point that without T’Challa Shuri is the one responsible for scouting talent and fostering it at the same time. This is supposedly for the better since she will also take up the mantle of Black Panther. But a new theory also states how this exact MO may put her on a collision course with Riri Williams herself. The theory goes that Shuri will head to MIT to recruit Riri and others for aid from Wakanda. However, unbeknownst to Shuri, the MIT whiz kid will have something up her sleeve already.
Even though the princess will be the one to go aid Riri, we think that Riri won’t need the help because just like in the comics, she has the wisdom and skill to protect herself. Riri is considered one of the most intelligent people in the Marvel Comicverse, so much so that she created her own iron man suit after Tony Stark was comatose. This led to her being dubbed as IronHeart in the comics, the spiritual successor of Iron Man. Even the consciousness of Stark was transferred into an AI that was installed in Riri’s suit and Stark then guided his Protege as the voice in the suit. It is expected that something similar will happen with the MCU introduction of the character barring the Stark AI.
Riri Williams Becomes Ironheart
An AI like that significantly worsens the impact of Tony’s death in the franchise so it is possible that the only thing adopted will be Riri’s engineering prowess. Being the Whiz kid that she is, it is not surprising that pictures from the set of Wakanda Forever showcase the location of MIT. It now makes sense why Shuri and Okoye would be at the engineering college. They are there to meet with Riri and probably recruit her into the Avengers. It makes the most sense given the number of leaks that have put both the characters beside each other ever since the shooting started.
Moreover, it will also give us a new ironman for the MCU and allow the grand start of the Disney+ series of IronHeart. Riri is a relatively new character in the Marvel Comic else and it makes o rethink that perhaps the comic writers were testing her in the pages for her eventual MCU debut. What do you think about the entire theory does it make sense to you? Let us know in the comments.
