New Loki vs Throg Deleted Scene Revealed for Disney+ Series

Loki episode 5, “Journey Into Mystery,” was no less than a perfect buildup for the finale. We got to see one too many variants of Loki. TVA’s actual meaning of pruning was revealed. No one ever really dies or is erased out of existence. They’re simply transported to the presumable end of time, called the Void. Now, considering that the TVA has pruned one too many timelines, we saw something totally out of the blue here, i.e., Throg! Throg is basically Thor in the body of a frog. This is a major reference to one of the lines in the play from Ragnarok. Fake Loki (Matt Damon) apologizes to Thor for turning him into a frog. Moreover, there was a Loki vs Throg deleted scene which was removed from episode 1.

New Loki vs Throg Deleted Scene

Throg was seen in Loki episode 5, “Journey Into Mystery,” for just a brief second. As the camera panned down beyond the surface to Kid Loki’s hideout, Throg and his hammer Mjolnir were seen. In Ragnarok, Throg was mentioned by Fake Loki. But now, Loki producer/writer Eric Martin revealed on his new Twitter thread that Throg was to have a more prominent role! He would have shown up much sooner.

Here’s what he wrote:

“Comic fans will notice the Frog of Thunder in that jar. We actually shot a scene for the Time Theater in Ep 1 of Loki getting pummeled by Frog Thor but had to cut it to keep things moving. It’s too bad because Tom was funny as hell. #LokiMidnightTheater”

It’s just overall funny to imagine Loki taking a beating from the Frog of Thunder. That’s why I seriously want to watch this deleted scene more than anything. This variant of Thor is not to be trifled with. Plus, Martin says that Tom was hilarious and that’s just something so true. His comic timing and flair for comic reliefs are always seen on the screen. Moreover, if the show was to include this fight sequence, it would have made the series even more entertaining. But so much for time constraints.

Loki is currently streaming on Disney+, with one more episode left to conclude its run. Would you have liked to see that Loki vs Throg deleted scene? Let us know in the comments.
