Here’s What This Missing Superhero Could Be Doing During Avengers Infinity War!

Avengers Infinity War is going to be the biggest comic book ensemble in the history of cinema. It will have at least 67 major comic book characters and at least half of them are superheroes. Never before has any studio even fantasized about bringing such an epic spectacle to life, so Marvel deserves all the props for it regardless of box office outcomes.

Well, according to pundits, given the massive amount of hype surrounding the movie, if the levels of excitement translates into audience’s footfalls into the theaters, then this movie will not just become the biggest superhero movie ever but has enough juice to even end up shattering box office records of Cameron’s Avatar and Titanic. It broke the previous record of pre-sales numbers in just six hours.

Every hero that has appeared in the frames of the MCU will appear in Avengers: Infinity War. Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk, Black Widow, Vision and a busload of other characters are making their next cinematic appearance in the movie. Infinity War will be a grand affair of colossal proportions. But if you think the MCU trailers have shown us everything there is to know about everyone, you got another thing coming.

The cast is long but superlative as some of the biggest stars will be featured together under one roof including Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Pratt (Starlord), Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon), Vin Diesel (Groot), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Karen Gillian (Nebula), Chris Evans (Captain America), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Samuel Jackson (Nick Fury), Cobie Smulders (Mariah Hill), Sebastian Stan (Winter soldier), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Reiner (Hawkeye), Benedict Cumberbatch (Dr. Strange), Tom Holland (Spiderman), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlett Witch), Paul Bettany (Vision), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Dave Bautista (Drax), Josh Brolin (Thanos).

While theories about the whereabouts of Hawkeye and a possible Captain Marvel cameo are rampant throughout the internet, those are not who we are talking about here. We have a theory about how and where another Major Missing Superhero could be in the movie. So who on god’s green earth is left from this insane cast?

Can you guess the hero’s name?

It’s the Wasp. Ant Man’s love interest and the shrinking superheroine is yet to be seen in the movie trailers. While the 67 MCU cast members do sound like a lot, the Russo Brothers claim the movie that will be most affected by the revelations of Infinity War will be Ant-Man & The Wasp.

So where is Evangeline Lily’s The Wasp in Infinity War? The trailer for Ant-Man 2 showed us that the movie will be set in the backdrop of Captain America: Civil War. Scott, Hank, and Hope will be on the run from the Government for siding with Team Cap.

Since the movie will be set in the immediate aftermath of Civil War, Hope would already have donned the Wasp suit and become a full-fledged superhero before Thanos comes to Earth looking for the Infinity Stones. So why won’t Hope to be in Infinity War?

Lily once said her role will be very small in IW. But if she is indeed one character that is so greatly affected by IW as the Russo Brothers say, why won’t Disney give her more screen time??

The official explanation:

The reason Wasp is not in IW could be because Marvel is trying to preserve her for a future role. Wasp is a relatively new superhero in the MCU scene. She has yet to make a mark in the superhero arena. Ant-Man 2 will be the 20th installment to the MCU and one of the very few to feature a female co-lead superhero. Since Wonder Woman has established the fact that female heroes could also be cash cows, Marvel has to make this right. IW will be a two-part arc.

Wasp will not have a big role in the first one, but if her role in Ant-Man 2 could really click with the viewers, she will have a major role in the latter. Marvel also wants to make a Wasp Solo movie so its wise not to push her into a crowd where most of the other fellows could overshadow her and make the audience pay less heed to her.

Why does she not have a big role in IW?

If the trailers give us any info, it is that Thanos doesn’t initiate a full-scale invasion of Earth. Instead, the Mad Titan launches precision strikes on select installations. His goal is to obtain the Infinity Stones. The final battle takes place in Wakanda. Maybe Hope is not just at the right place and the right time to kick alien ass. If Hope is in San Francisco, then she escapes much of the conflict. And she won’t have enough time to get to Wakanda to repel back Thanos and his forces.

There is another, insanely crazy theory:

Say hello to the Quantum Realm. Another theory making the rounds is that maybe Hope is not in IW much is because she is not in this plane of existence. The Quantum Realm was first introduced in Ant-Man, a subatomic universe where you lose all sense of time and space. Captain Marvel will reportedly feature the Quantum Realm in its frames. Since Ant-Man and the Wasp will be set right after Civil War, maybe the movie does have a heartbreaking twist to it.

Maybe Scott and Hope, in their quest to save the bad guys get separated. At the end of the movie, Hope will be trapped in the Quantum Realm. The Realm will also be a major Avengers 4 plot device so maybe Hope makes a far greater appearance then. If this theory is true, it will be a heartbreaking end to Ant-Man 2 which was claimed to be a romantic comedy. Hank, who already lost her wife to the Quantum Realm, will lose her daughter to the same technology. Can it get any better than this!!!!

Avengers Infinity War will hit the theaters worldwide on April 27, 2018. The movie is directed by Russo brothers and produced by Marvel President Kevin Feige along with a set of executive producers including God of Marvel comics Stan Lee, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo etc. The screenplay is written by a talented duo – Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

The official plot synopsis for the movie can be read below:

“As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain”.

“Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment”.

“An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe”.

Can Avengers and Guardians together be able to stop the vicious attack by Thanos and his Black Order? Will the Mad Titan prove to be too much for Earth’s mightiest? Who will fall in the battlefield? Who will survive Infinity War? Can’t wait to find out.
