Marvel Cinematic Universe: 10 Creepiest Moments of MCU

MCU has been popular for offering us family-friendly films. Except for a mild number of profanities, there is nothing that you cannot see with the family. In my own experience, I have seen a large number of families going to watch MCU movies. But there are also some unexpected dark moments in the films. These particular scenes might be very intense and contain a moderate level of violence and horror. A few of them were a surprise unexpected by MCU fans from their favorite characters. Here are the 10 Creepiest Moments of MCU:

1. Scarlet Witch showing visions in Avengers: Age of Ultron

Wanda Maximoff made her first complete appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron. She was initially working with Ultron for taking revenge on the Avengers. But during this time, she used to show dark visions to the Avengers while confronting them. This included a haunted trip of Thor to Valhalla, a dark dance with Peggy Carter for Captain America, and a nightmare for Iron Man where he saw the end of the Avengers. These creepy abilities made Scarlet Witch a dangerous character.

2. Vulture and Spider-Man’s menacing heart-to-heart

Tom Holland made his debut as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War. The tone and setup of Spider-Man: Homecoming was changed a bit to give more screen space to Peter Parker’s adventures. In the film, Peter Parker uncovers an illegal alien weapon operation run by Adrian Toomes/Vulture. She was also the father of Parker’s crush, Liz. Peter discovers the truth too soon and Toomes also finds out that Parker is Spider-Man. Toomes then starts a conversation with Peter and threatens him and his family.

3. Vision’s living dead body briefly appearing in WandaVision

Creepiest Moments of MCU

In WandaVision, Wanda was seen using her powers to shift reality in the small town of Westview. She aimed to bring Vision back. But as the series progressed, we saw Wanda’s reality getting crumbled on certain occasions. In one such scene, Vision’s living dead body also appeared in front of Wanda. This happened in between Wanda’s TV-based fantasy. This was also one of the weirdest and creepy moments in the MCU.

4. Ultron’s damaged debut

The Avengers have faced many villains throughout their journey in the MCU. Ultron was one of them. The special fact about Ultron is that it is made as a result of artificial intelligence. Ultron is not a physical being. Now if you have seen Avengers: Age of Ultron, you must remember his first appearance. When Ultron walked into the room of the Avengers, he was in a damaged state. It was because he took over the damaged husk of one of Stark’s Iron Legion droids.

5. Zombie Iron Man in Spider-Man: Far From Home

The new Spider-Man reboot has been appreciated for a change in the tone and settings of the film. This franchise has a lighter tone in comparison to the previous installments. Now you all must remember Mysterio from Spider-Man: Far From Home. He created illusions to term himself as a superhero and take revenge against Stark. Peter was still dealing with the loss of Tony Stark. Mysterio took advantage of this thing and created an illusion of zombified Iron Man that freaked out Peter.

6. Arnim Zola survived as a computer intelligence

Arnim Zola made his debut in Captain America: The First Avenger. He was a member of Red Skull’s HYDRA. Zola also created Tesseract-powered weaponry that could have changed Second World War. Captain America: The Winter Soldier revealed that HYDRA grew up inside S.H.I.E.L.D. only because of him. He secretly managed to find immortality for himself.

7. Tony Stark’s parents killed by the Winter Soldier

Creepiest Moments of MCU

Bucky disappeared somewhere after the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Helmut Zemo framed him for the bombing of the UN and the murder of King T’Chaka. Tony Stark was trying to convince Steve Rogers to hand over Bucky to the authorities. But Steve knew that it was Zemo all along. When this secret was revealed to Stark, he went to help Bucky and Steve. But Zemo showed Stark footage that had Bucky murdering Stark’s parents. The murder scene of Stark’s parents was intense and violent.

8. The world changed when Scott Lang was trapped in the Quantum Realm

MCU’s Ant-Man franchise has been successful because of its occasional comedy scenes. But the sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp had one of MCU’s creepiest scenes. Scott Lang enters Quantum Realm to explore the mysterious dimension and collect quantum particles to help in Ghost’s recovery. Here he was trapped alone and was floating in the miniature dimension. MCU fans then had to wait for almost a year for the Ant-Man to return on screen.

9. Peter Quill’s abduction by Ravagers when he was a child

Guardians of the Galaxy introduced Peter Quill as Star-Lord. He found a new family along with some cosmic heroes where they fight together to save the galaxy from Ronan the Accuser. But the movie starts with the death scene of Peter Quill’s mother. As a young boy, Peter Quill runs away from the hospital room. He is then abducted by an alien ship and never gets to see Earth again. His childhood stories with the Ravagers ranged from creepy to horrifying.

10. Winter Soldier appears in Alexander Pierce’s home

Maybe MCU fans never expected that HYDRA has been operating from inside S.H.I.E.L.D. A deceased Bucky Barnes also made his appearance again as the Winter Soldier. When this information was revealed to Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff, we did not know who the leader here was. But then in one of the scenes, the Winter Soldier appeared in Alexander Pierce’s home and it is unveiled that Pierce is HYDRA’s leader. Pierce’s maid Renata comes back to take her phone. But after she sees Winter Soldier, Pierce shoots and kills her.

So these were the Creepiest Moments of the MCU.
