Marvel is going all out with their superhero and supervillains catalog. No one will be left under the wraps. As That Hashtag Show reported previously that Ghost Rider is coming to the MCU in Doctor Strange 2, there seems to be a team forming already. Yes, I am talking about the Midnight Sons. From the looks of it, Marvel is heavily focusing on new Avengers-type teams. Right off the bat, we can think of Young Avengers, Dark Avengers/Thunderbolt, Eternals, etc. But it seems that Marvel has put a Midnight Sons movie in development.
One might wonder who the Midnight Sons are. Well, some of the team already exists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s a group within Marvel consisting of superheroes that fight supernatural threats. Marvel Studios is wanting to build Midnight Sons to be the ‘Supernatural Avengers’ more or less. We have to take it with a grain of salt since their scoops haven’t been proven right yet. Previously also it was reported that Midnight Sons is being adapted. But Marvel did not have the characters they wanted in place for such a film.
Things have changed now. Blade and Moon Knight are coming to the MCU. Marc Spector is confirmed to play the lead in Moon Knight. Ghost Rider is expected to be seen in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The team will start with Doctor Strange, Moon Knight, Blade, Hannibal King, Hellstrom, Ghost Rider, and Scarlet Witch. Hannibal King and Hellstrom will be introduced in Blade.
Mephisto was almost everywhere when WandaVision gave major hints for the villain. But that did not happen. Rather the Darkhold reveal made it obvious that Chthon is somewhere and could be seen at a point in time. But no Mephisto is not going anywhere. The main villain could be Blackout. That Hashtag Show also claims that Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios are interested in more Thanos-level threats spread throughout the MCU.
As mentioned earlier, KC Walsh from Geeks Worldwide reported that the fourth member joining the team would be Elsa Bloodstone. She could be seen in the Blade movie or the Moon Knight TV series. A handful of members already exist. Some are making their way to the MCU. We can believe that a Midnight Sons might movie might actually be in the early stages.
