WandaVision: Who Is Trying To Steal Wanda’s Powers?
In the latest 6th episode of the WandaVision arc, we are welcomed to the extent to which Wanda has been radiating the Chaos Magic coupled with her Hex contingents in place. We see the arrival of Pietro Maximoff also known as the Quicksilver make an appearance on Wanda’s front door. The WandaVision arc is delving deeper into the plot and it somehow looks that Wanda somewhere is still not in control of a lot of things inside the arc. Like in the beginning we see Agnes making an entry offering help to take care of the kids Billy Maximoff and Tommy Maximoff, to which Vision responds by politely declining her offer to assist Wanda and Vision attempt of trying to handle the kids. At this moment the background sitcom music and laughter of the audience stops and Agnes ask Wanda if she wishes to re-run the scene as to her liking, unaware that as time progressed Wanda’s magic did not affect Vision, Billy Maximoff, and Tommy Maximoff.
The scene moves on with Wanda shrugging off Agnes’s weird take of the situation and her explaining Vision as to why they need a break and Agnes could help them get it. Only to find out that the kids who had stopped crying and already grown up to 6 or 7 years old. Wanda is surprised at this sudden turn of events and we see Agnes sitting at the Kitchen counter showing the relief saying that how fast kids grow up without a hint of surprise as if she knew what was going on and her part around the situation was just to behave normally. At this point, Vision has already grown suspicious of the events unfolding around them and starts digging deeper into what was unfolding the Westview county and why Wanda seemed to be okay with everything that was going on.
Director Tyler Hayward has originated in the series as an antagonist trying to get back Vision which he firmly believes belongs to the Sentient World Observation and Response Department (S.W.O.R.D) post the events of Endgame. Director Taylor’s fondness towards Vision shows his need for getting his hand on the Synthezoid named Vision with the sole motive of turning the technology into sentient beings, capable of things greater than what Vision could achieve.
Hayward is also seen evicting Darcy Lewis, Maria Rambeau, and Jimmy Woo as these three do not see Wanda as the bad guy in the whole scenario which is a threat to Director Hayward’s idea of branding Scarlett as the villain and using the people inside the Westview Hex to explain his apathy towards Wanda, without revealing his real intentions.
Jimmy Woo is then seeing taking over the agents tasked to escort the three of the Sentient World Observation and Response Department (S.W.O.R.D) campus surrounding the Hex and Maria Rambeau lending him a hand later on in the process. Post this we are shown that Director Hayward has been tracking Vision inside the Hex and Vision in an attempt to make contact is shown moving towards the border of the Hex unaware of Director Hayward’s intentions, whilst Wanda is with her kids and brother celebrating Halloween night.
Now, there may be several speculations about the fact that there may be multiple plots in play at the same moment. The most talked of these is the plot of who could have benefitted from stealing Wanda’s power, but without killing her and let her mind become distraught and do the latter on its own. It becomes difficult to believe that even with Wanda in control of almost everything around her some bad incidents tend to somehow happen inside the Westview county dome. For example, we witness the death of Sparky, Billy, and Tommy’s adopted pet dog. And then both of them asking their mother to fix it, with Agnes in the background holding the dead dog in a wrapped-up blanket and when searching for sparky even the mailman tells the boys not to worry about it as their mother will not let anything happen to the dog.
The entire plot revolves around a weird sensation as if something or someone is trying to manipulate Wanda, while Agnes and Herbert seem like the pieces of a pawn in a bigger game. With these events unfolding many are being led to believe that it may be the doing of Mephisto who is the devil of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and wishes to control Wanda to wreak havoc on earth especially with the events bearing slight similarity to the events that unfold during the “House of M” saga in the Marvel Comics Universe.
