Some Interesting Facts About the Movie
- Soorarai Pottru’s title poster was unveiled on 13th of April 2019. And its 1st look poster was released on 10th of November 2019. The official teaser was released on 7th of January 2020. The movie was scheduled to release on 9th of April 2020, but was postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
- Suriya spent about INR 47 lakhs per day to rent an aircraft. The team shot almost a couple of weeks inside the aircraft, which indeed increased the budget of the movie.
- The Telugu version of Soorarai Pottru is titled as Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra that will be also releasing on the same date. The makers of Soorarai Pottru have also announced that the movie will be dubbed in Kannada.
- The movie is based on events during the life of Air Deccan founder G. R. Gopinath.
- Soorarai Pottru’s production commenced with a principal photography session on 7 April 2019. After months of shooting, the movie was successfully wrapped in September 2019.
