The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is currently undergoing production in Prague and it will probably wrap things up in early November. Last month, set photos emerged from Atlanta, and now, we’ve been getting new photos from Prague. An interesting detail has surfaced through these set photos, and it brings up a certain plot leak that made its way onto the internet earlier this year. Here, take a look at the new photo that shows Bucky & Sam teaming up with Baron Zemo:
When Marvel officially announced the series, they also revealed that Daniel Brühl’s Baron Zemo will be the main villain of the project. So how come Sam & Bucky are teaming up with him? Well, to explain this sort of an unpredictable team up, we’ve got an old plot leak which tells us exactly why Bucky & Sam are teaming up with Zemo.
Spoiler Warning!! The following plot leak might actually carry some details from an episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series. So, read only if you want to know.
“Sam isn’t allowed to be Cap because of the events of Civil War, but trusts US Agent to take over the mantle.
US Agent genuinely wants to do a good job and doesn’t realize he’s part of a bigger plan.
Sam and Bucky have to work with Zemo to track down a crime syndicate called The Alchemists. Zemo is essentially their hostage but he has vital information.
They go to Madripoor with him and there they meet Batroc the Leaper and Omega Red.
Agent 13 and Bucky seem to have a romance. Very flirty vibes. Sam judges Bucky for it and Bucky says, “Steve dated her like 70 years ago.”
William Hurt is in the show. At least in this one episode. Seemed to reference events of Black Widow.
Zemo escapes from them in a speedboat to end the episode.
Sam got shot in the episode.”
So, it looks like Sam & Bucky will have to track down Zemo after he escapes from prison. And when they do, Bucky will choose not to kill him just like we saw in the Disney+ teaser which was shown at Super Bowl earlier this year. Zemo probably carries some vital information, which is why Bucky doesn’t kill him.
Bucky & Sam working with Zemo does come as a big surprise. A while back, Sebastian Stan spoke about the many surprises that this series is hiding. Here’s what he had to say:
“I’ll tell you I have [seen scripts]. I have seen them and I’m so excited about it. It’s going to be so cool and kind of crazy. All I can say is it’s just new and different from what you’ve seen so far. I mean, it will be totally in line with everything that has happened and what we’ve seen and so on, but these characters are getting such additional mileage in terms of learning about who they are now, what they feel, what they’re thinking, and there’s a lot of action, comedy, you know there’s going to be comedy. I feel like you’re going to be happy. I think you’re going to be very happy. And there’s some crazy stuff, like stuff you don’t see coming from anywhere.”
With these Disney+ shows, Kevin Feige has got the opportunity to explore MCU’s long narrative even more deeply. So, we’re really happy that Marvel is finally coming up with TV shows which will interconnect with the movies. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier would have arrived earlier this year, but COVID-19 has pushed it to spring 2021.
