Baby Yoda & Others Shine Bright In New The Mandalorian Season 2 Photos

The Mandalorian Season 2 Photos:

The official twitter handle of The Mandalorian just announced the release date of season 2. The successful Disney+ series will be returning on October 30 with 8 brand new episodes. It will run till December 18. We will soon be getting the first trailer of The Mandalorian Season 2, but before that Entertainment Weekly has given us the first look at Season 2 through some new stills. Take a look at the cuddly little Child and his compadres:

Along with the Child (Baby Yoda), Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin aka the Mandalorian & Gina Carano’s Cara Dune, we will also see the return of Carl Weathers as Greef Karga. In fact, Weathers is even going to direct one of the upcoming episodes of Season 2. Others who will be directing season 2 episodes are Jon Favreau, Rick Famuyiwa and Robert Rodriguez. Apart from the aforementioned images, EW also revealed two new covers of the upcoming Disney+ series. Here, have a look:

Jon Favreua, the creator & writer of The Mandalorian, & Dave Filoni, his advisor spoke about how they created the story of the series. They said:

“Filoni – Quite simply: We didn’t overthink things. George started with these very iconic characters whose relationships are very clear, and then introduced what’s at stake — for us, the [fate of] the Child,” says Filoni. “An audience tends to enjoy a story by sticking to tropes and characters they understand — like a gunslinger in the Old West. So it was a clear story and a fun adventure even if you’ve never seen anything [in the Star Wars universe].

Favreau – I’ll come up with ideas and sometimes Dave will say, ‘You can’t do this in Star Wars.’ Then I’ll cite examples from the movies, or Clone Wars, to try to use as a justification. I’m like a lawyer talking to a judge; I am to him as he was to George. I won’t do anything without Dave’s approval. And to his credit, he understands that Stars Wars needs to be fun and ever-evolving.”

We’re quite excited about Season 2. Let’s see how the Mandalorian & his companions manage to keep the Child safe from Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) and his Imperial forces.
