The Matrix 4 New Set Photos:
Last year, we got the announcement for another Matrix movie out of nowhere. No one really expected another sequel, but despite the fact that half of the people out there hated The Matrix 2 & 3, everyone was happy to hear that The Matrix 4 is happening with one of the original directors. We got the confirmation that Keanu Reeves & Carrie-Anne Moss are returning. But along with them, a bunch of other talented actors will join in. Among the new ones is How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris.
There are theories that since Hugo Weaving is not returning, whatever character Neil Patrick Harris is playing would be the villain. But obviously we can’t know for certain just yet. What we do know is that production has kickstarted once again after it came to a halt due to COVID-19. How do we know this? Because TMZ has spotted Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Neil Patrick Harris on the set. Take a look at the new set photos right here.
It’d be nice to figure out NPH’s role in the film since we can make out that his character will have something significant to do in the story. That’s because he is one of the bigger names who has been cast in the 3rd sequel of the legendary franchise. People have high hopes with The Matrix 4. Keanu Reeves said that he only agreed to return in the upcoming film because of the story. He told Empire:
“Lana Wachowski wrote a beautiful script and a wonderful story that resonated with me. That’s the only reason to do it. To work with her again is just amazing. It’s been really special, and the story has, I think, some meaningful things to say, and that we can take some nourishment from.”
Sadly, we will have to wait for this action-packed sequel until April 2022. But hey, at least they are back at filming.
