WB Rumored to Have Offered Zack Snyder $10 Million to Finish Justice League Snydercut

Belated happy birthday Zack Snyder. It seems that Snyder has got the birthday gift that he deserves. Snyder recently held a Snyder Cut poster contest and announced the winning submission on his birthday. But apparently, he actually did a little more than that, and that seems to have stirred up even more chatter on the internet with the possibility of the Justice League Snyder Cut actually happening. Let’s see what exactly is going on.

Everyone knows what really happened during the production of the Justice League. Snyder had to leave production a month after the tragic death of his daughter. Maybe this tragedy was used as a cover by WB to let Snyder go, and change the direction of his film, maybe not. But we know that Joss Whedon was brought in, major reshoots took place as WB asked Snyder’s 214 Minutes long cut to be brought under 120 minutes. An extra 25 Million budget was allotted to Whedon to do the needful changes. Whedon tried, but people still haven’t gotten over the fact that there was so much more to be seen in the actual version of the cut.

Now that the story of the Justice League has already been deemed irrelevant for the future of the DCEU, there would actually be no harm in seeing the Snydercut. WB is bringing in HBO Max, and that streaming service would be the perfect portal for the ardent fans to see the cut. Instead of paying the distribution charges and paying a cut to the theatre chains, WB could use the direct to consumer model they are coming up with, and lure fans for subscriptions. Along with all other exclusive projects that WB is producing for HBO Max, the Snydercut would be a perfect offering for fans.

Keeping that in mind, a new rumor comes from the unnamed sources of We Got This Covered which state that WB & Snyder have actually been talking behind the scenes and the visionary director has been offered $10 Million to complete his leftover cut. Snyder has a 214 Minutes cut aligned, and even a score had been completed by Junkie XL. But the VFX are still needed to be completed and Snyder needs to carry some addition photography for reshoots. WGTC states that Snyder was actually looking for somewhere between 25-$30 Million instead.

Justice League already cost around $300 Million in its original production & reshoots+ marketing extra. It made just $658 Million at the Box Office. So, it’s understandable why WB doesn’t want to pour a lot of extra money into the project (even though the original failure was their fault). Still, there’s a huge fandom that wants to see the Snydercut. So many people, actors and even multi-national companies have publicly endorsed the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement. Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, and many other actors have voiced their opinion. Jason Momoa claims to have seen the unfinished cut and calls it “sickk!!”

These two slate images have recently been released by Zack Snyder. The slate is actually the prize for the Snyder Cut poster Contest. What these messages on the slate indicate is that the winner of the contest will get to be present during the additional photography on the film “in the unlikely and purely speculative event that such photography is needed.” Moreover, this photography will involve a cool scene between Batman, Superman, Lois Lane, and Martian Manhunter which is currently listed as “TBD”.

So, no one’s promising the Snyder Cut yet, but this does hint at the possibility of the Snyder Cut filming to actually happen in the coming future. Ben Affleck has stated that he isn’t interested in playing Batman anymore, and Cavill’s return as Superman is unlikely as well. So we don’t know whether filming will ever take place. But the $10 Million rumor could actually be right. WGTC could actually be onto something this time.

Snyder has been promoting his unfinished film for a long time now. The world has been voicing their opinion. Perhaps WB may have finally heard everyone’s plea and given Justice League another shot. Who knows, if the Snydercut actually turns out to be something that’s actually close to awesome, thing may lead to a Justice League 2 as well! For now, the book upon the Snyder Cut is not yet closed. If Snyder actually gets to return to finish his Justice League cut, then it might come out as early as the end of this year. If not that, then 2021 would obviously be perfect.

Here are a few other key details from the story of Justice League Snydercut that would’ve set up 2 more Justice League sequels:

“Snyder’s Justice League would play like the theatrical version, with one ending twist: Darkseid revealing himself to the League, as Steppenwolf’s master.

Justice League 2 would’ve gone cosmic, with the League mounting an attack on Apokolips and Darkseid. That major event would’ve brought the New Gods of New Genesis and the Green Lantern Corps into the mix.

The second movie would’ve ended on a dark and ominous loss, as Darkseid thrashed the Justice League and killed Lois Lane, taking Superman prisoner and creating the “Dark Superman” we saw in Batman v Superman through the Anti-Life Equation

Justice League 3 would’ve seen Darkseid invade Earth without the League there to defend it, conquering the planet and creating the “Knightmare” reality in Batman v Superman.

Through several time travel loops (including Flash’s failed warning to Bruce in Batman v Superman) Batman would have to reach Superman and bring him back on the side of good, so that the League could defeat Darkseid and save the world.”

Be positive. The Snyder cut will happen!!
