Hulk’s Blood Will Now Become Very Important in the MCU

The MCU hasn’t used the Hulk as properly as they could’ve/ should’ve. Anyway, that is going to change as rumors suggest that the rights of Hulk have secretly been reverted back to Marvel. We might even get a solo Hulk film in the future. But for now, Marvel is going to do another Hulk story tacked on with She-Hulk. His involvement in the series is going to be huge as Marvel seems to be taking the comic book route for She-Hulk’s origin.

The She-Hulk series will begin filming in a few months and it might hit Disney+ by the end of 2021 or in early 2022. The casting details of Jennifer Walters have teased the major involvement of Hulk as the current log-line for the project reads –

“Also known as Jennifer Walters, She Hulk is a lawyer, and cousin of Bruce Banner, whose emergency blood transfusion from Bruce empowers her with Hulk-like abilities.”

So, it does seem that we will get a comic accurate origin for the new Avenger coming to the MCU. Jennifer Walters, a potent lawyer gets shot and loses a lot of blood. The only thing that could save her is a blood transfusion from Bruce Banner. Banner’s blood does save her, but she also gets Hulk like abilities. What’s great is that unlike Bruce Banner, she doesn’t have a difficulty in handling her Hulk persona. She doesn’t lose control.

This brings us to a conclusion that Hulk’s blood actually has healing abilities. It helped his cousin to heal, so it could also help others to heal. In fact, there could be even more Hulk like people in the MCU if they got their hands on Hulk’s blood. But it’s confusing as to how Hulk’s blood is showing healing effects now when in Incredible Hulk, we clearly saw people getting infected by his blood. Perhaps it’s actually the blood that comes directly from Smart Hulk is what’s showing healing capabilities. Also, a direct blood transfusion is what might be responsible for healing. The people who got infected by Hulk’s blood in The Incredible Hulk didn’t get a direct transfusion into their veins.

In the World War Hulk storyline, many heroes turn into Hulk. Spider-Man turns as big as Hulk, and so does Captain America. So is that what Marvel is planning for Hulk in the future? We’re yet to see many amazing Hulk stories and different versions of Hulk. World Breaker Hulk is yet to arrive. We might get Joe Fix it, and even Immortal Hulk. But the point to be noted is that Hulk’s blood could become a matter of importance in the coming future of the MCU. Looking at She-Hulk, the government might actually try to seek Smart Hulk’s blood or even She-Hulk’s blood to create an army of Super-human green soldiers. It could be Marvel’s next Super Soldier program. Let’s see what happens.

The She-Hulk series will further be used to set up the Thunderbolts as Red Hulk is said to appear in the series. Who knows, he might team up with Abomination and the two could take on She-Hulk & Smart Hulk. That would be an amazing battle to witness. The budget for this series is going to be huge if 4 Hulk like characters are supposed to appear.

Black Widow is going to kick off the future slate on May 1. Here’s how the rest of the Phase 4 slate looks like – The Falcon and The Winter Soldier in August 2020, The Eternals on November 6, 2020, WandaVision in December 2020, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on February 12, 2021, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on May 7, 2021, Loki in Spring 2021, Spider-Man 3 on July 16, 2021, Ms. Marvel in 2021, What If? In Summer 2021, Hawkeye in Fall 2021, and Thor: Love and Thunder on November 5, 2021. Following these are Moon Knight and She-Hulk. Black Panther 2 has been scheduled for May 6, 2022. And 7 other unannounced films have release dates for 2022 & 2023.
