Hulk Appear in Thor Love And Thunder:
Hulk played an important role in the success of Thor: Ragnarok. The first two Thor movies hadn’t pleased a whole lot of fans so the third one needed an X-Factor. Well, to be honest, Ragnarok got multiple X-Factors. The biggest one of them was Taika Waititi, who completely changed the game for Thor. And he actually did that by using Hulk. The marketing of Ragnarok was a genius move. When the first trailer showed Hulk, people were hooked instantly. So with that comes the question of whether Hulk will appear in Thor: Love And Thunder.
First of all, I’d like to say one thing before we move on with the question. People already knew that Hulk will appear in Thor: Ragnarok. If Hulk’s appearance would’ve been kept secret and only revealed in the theatres, then the surprise would’ve felt way more awesome. But this wasn’t possible because Hulk was a crucial part of Ragnarok’s marketing. But it is surely possible with Thor: Love And Thunder.
With the kind of fandom Thor has managed to accumulate in his last 3 movies, there’s actually no need for Hulk to appear. A new rumor has also suggested that Marvel now has the rights to produce Solo Hulk movies as well. So, this gives us an even bigger reason for the Hulk to appear in Thor: Love And Thunder. His absence would allow for other characters like Beta Ray Bill to be introduced. But, wouldn’t it be nice if the Revengers got back together? Thor 4’s final battle would become so much better if Hulk would be a part of it. And, if Hulk has to appear in Thor 4, then it has to be a surprise. His appearance should be kept a secret like it should’ve been in Ragnarok.
Taika Waititi stated that Thor: Love And Thunder will be even bigger and Bolder. Hulk’s next appearance is expected to happen in the She-Hulk series. But we’d absolutely love it if he were to appear in Love & Thunder before that. His appearance will now have conditions attached. If the movie takes place partly on Earth/New Asgard, then he should make an appearance, but if we go on another space adventure like Taika Waititi has hinted it would, then Hulk should not appear at all.
Thor: Love And Thunder would be mostly about reestablishing Jane Foster, and since Valkyrie would be marrying someone, we should expect another important character to come in. Beta Ray Bill is in major demand now so he should also appear. And then obviously 2-3 villains are rumored to appear. So, adding Hulk would require space & time which this film doesn’t seem to have. And as we’ve mentioned above, Hulk now has the opportunity to appear in a solo film, so he doesn’t need to appear in films involving other characters.
There are 2 stories that we really want to see with the Hulk being involved in. After he appears in the She-Hulk series, we want to see the World Breaker Hulk persona taken up in his own solo film. And either before or after that, we wanna see Hulk vs. Wolverine. So, let’s see what Marvel will do with Hulk next.
Marvel’s future is huge and there’s a lot that could happen. Black Widow is going to kick off the future slate on May 1. In Summer 2021, Hawkeye in Fall 2021, and Thor: Love and Thunder on November 5, 2021. Following these are Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight and She-Hulk. Black Panther 2 has been scheduled for May 6, 2022.
