Avengers: Endgame New Deleted Scene Revealed
Endgame New Deleted Scene:
Avengers: Endgame was such a massive film that people are still posting about deleted scenes of the movie. That’s how much people care about Marvel and that’s how big a part it plays people’s lives. With Marvel having released the Infinity Saga Box Set, new scenes of Disney+ and the Avengers: Endgame – Art of the Movie Book, people have got a new perspective at what almost happened in their favorite film(s). Now, several concept art designers are also posting the work that they did for MCU. And now MCU artist Karla Ortiz has posted her alternate scene for when Smart Hulk reaches the Sanctum Sanctorum. Here’s what she posted:
She explained:
“1/2 I didn’t get to work too much on Avengers #Endgame. But one of my favorite contributions was a variation on the scene where the Hulk met the Ancient One. She’s so zen and so accepting of that which was about to pass! This was also painted in early 2016 and was one of the few keyframes I did in those early times. I would fall in love with painting keyframes more and more, and was so grateful to be given the chance to do so!”
In this alternate version, the Ancient One would have been seen chilling at the New York Sanctum while the Chitauri invaded New York. But anyone would agree to the fact that the scene that we got to see in the theatres was a way better choice as it doesn’t paint the world of wizardry to be full of arrogant people who don’t want to interfere in the open world unless it is a mystical threat. That’s exactly what they do, but showing the Ancient One fight off the Chitauri from her end felt quite sensible.
But this deleted scene does give us an idea of how things could’ve been very different if the Ancient One and other heroes who were around could have helped the Avengers out in the battle of New York. Apparently instead of 6, the first draft of The Avengers could have seen 11 heroes playing a part during the New York battle. That way, the New York threat would’ve actually been contained way too early and the Avengers wouldn’t have had to take a dis from Rocket for having spent around 3-4 hours fighting the suckiest army of the Galaxy.
How the 11 heroes could have been involved? Well for starters, at the time The Avengers came out, America had an Iron Patriot. Rhodey could have shown up to help alongside Iron Man and the other 5 heroes. Nick Fury should’ve called him in just like he was included in the Age of Ultron. Secondly, Nick Fury could’ve straightaway sent a message to Carol Danvers. With Captain Marvel being involved, the fight would’ve been contained quickly.
The third option is the Sorcerer Supreme, i.e. the Ancient One. She could’ve jumped in to fight along with the Avengers. The fourth & 5th options involve Hank Pym & Ghost. SHIELD had an asset in the form of Ghost locked up with them. And Nick Fury should’ve known that Hank Pym could really help out since he was the original Ant-Man. But all these stories were involving these other heroes were written post The Avengers. So it’s obvious that these individuals couldn’t have been in The Avengers. Also, the movie wouldn’t have been so great if the threat of the Chitauri didn’t feel real at that point in time.
Now, the team of Avengers is going to be very big. Marvel’s future is huge and there’s a lot that could happen. Black Widow is going to kick off the future slate on May 1. Here’s how the rest of the Phase 4 slate looks like – The Falcon and The Winter Soldier in Fall 2020, The Eternals on November 6, 2020, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on February 12, 2021, WandaVision in Spring 2021, Loki in Spring 2021, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on May 7, 2021, Spider-Man 3 on July 16, 2021, What If? In Summer 2021, Hawkeye in Fall 2021, and Thor: Love and Thunder on November 5, 2021. Following these are Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight and She-Hulk. Black Panther 2 has been scheduled for May 6, 2022.
