Captain Marvel vs. Thor:
Thor really is the strongest Avenger. Or rather, he was until Captain Marvel showed up. It used to be a fight between Hulk & Thor. Tony Stark clearly thought that Hulk was the strongest Avenger but what he thought was obviously wrong. And now, there would be a new team of multiple overpowered heroes. In that team would be Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Wanda, the Mighty Thor, Captain Marvel & Thor (arranged according to their power levels). Smart Hulk might actually be defeated by all of these heroes because he isn’t as strong as the Hulk.
If you’d put all these heroes in a fight, you’d have to say that Thor & Captain Marvel will turn out to be one of the last two survivors. They are the most durable heroes among the ones that are alive after Endgame and their power levels are beyond comparison from others. So, it’d be great to find out a winner between these two OP heroes sometime in the future. Kevin Feige himself has claimed that Captain Marvel is actually the strongest hero to have been introduced in the MCU, and she’d go on to be the leader of the Avengers in the future. But there are some people who might think Thor should be the strongest.
So it would be fun to actually be fun to put them together on screen, but before that, we’ve already got results for an online poll that solves the MCU mystery that has been running for over a year now. Who is stronger between Thor & Captain Marvel, or the correct way to put it – Who would kick whose ass when it comes to a fistfight? Will it be the newcomer Captain Marvel who’d show the Thunder God who’s the boss? Or will it be Thor who’d finish off Captain Marvel with lightning strikes in her ass?
Thor has become crazily overpowered in the recent films, and having a new weapon like Stormbreaker only increases his strength. But we’ve also seen what Captain Marvel is able to do. She didn’t even flinch when Thanos struck her with a head butt. Whereas Thanos actually kicked Thor’s omnipotent butt. So, is it going to be Captain Marvel? Well apparently, the people have decided otherwise. 34000 people took part in this poll, and 73% of them have chosen Thor. Well, it’s fair to say that Thor in his prime might just emerge victoriously. But we have to consider the fact that Captain Marvel has at least 2 more solo films left and she has a chance to unlock even more strength, abilities and most importantly, experience. So she might win in the longer run.
But for now, Thor is everyone’s favorite Avenger. Remember the time people were shipping Thor & Captain Marvel? Well, that would be awesome. Or we could have what Tessa Thompson suggested, i.e. Carol, Thor & Valkyrie spooning together. Let’s see what the future holds. Captain Marvel is yet to get a love interest, but Thor is going to redefine his love for Jane in Love And Thunder. Let’s see what happens.
Marvel’s future is huge and there’s a lot that could happen. Black Widow is going to kick off the future slate on May 1. Here’s how the rest of the Phase 4 slate looks like – The Falcon and The Winter Soldier in Fall 2020, The Eternals on November 6, 2020, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on February 12, 2021, WandaVision in Spring 2021, Loki in Spring 2021, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on May 7, 2021, Spider-Man 3 on July 16, 2021, What If? In Summer 2021, Hawkeye in Fall 2021, and Thor: Love and Thunder on November 5, 2021. Following these are Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight and She-Hulk. Black Panther 2 has been scheduled for May 6, 2022.
