Joaquin Phoenix in Accident with Paramedics’ Truck:

Joker is doing wonders all over the globe. Joaquin Phoenix has delivered such an impactful performance that all we’ve been left to do is clap for his magnificence. The actor claims that he’s actually ready to return as Joker for the sequel and with the Box Office numbers that the film is staggering, WB might just put one sequel in works right now. But we’d only get that sequel if actor Joaquin Phoenix is fit to do it. But apparently, he has met with an accident.

As it turns out, the accident wasn’t too big and no one got hurt. TMZ reports that on Tuesday afternoon, Phoenix hit a fire department vehicle as he was pulling out of a parking lot in West Hollywood, Los Angeles. Well, his Tesla took a bit of damage as its bumper collided with the truck. As soon as it happened, he tracked down the paramedics who left the truck parked over there to get things straight.

Phoenix called the police and traded insurance info with the paramedics after he found them. Since L.A. County property was damaged in this little accident, a damage report was taken. Although the people who were around the area when the accident happened claimed that the truck had only got a slight scratch while it was the Tesla that’d need a lot of repairs.

It is good that no one was harmed and the accident just happened as Phoenix simply misjudged the turn he was making. Phoenix thought that he had enough room to clear the truck, but apparently he was wrong about it. Although the situation got wrapped up very fast because Phoenix wasn’t ticketed for the accident as he broke no laws. According to TMZ’s report, Phoenix was actually very polite with the police & paramedics and he handled the situation very maturely.

So now that this accident is over, Phoenix can actually get back to the amazing success story of his film. We’d love it if he does join in for a sequel but honestly, Joker doesn’t need a sequel. It should be left with the open ending that it got. There is a way that this Joker movie could tie in with The Batman, but Matt Reeves probably won’t do that.

Joaquin Phoenix was beyond amazing with his extraordinarily unique take on Joker. He talked about why he accepted this particular role after dodging the question for months. He said:

“I take a lot of time and consideration when making decisions and what I’m gonna work on, always. So, in some ways, the process, which is obviously reading a script and meeting a filmmaker and then continuing to have meetings and discussions with Todd [Phillips. I think he’s very impressive and he seems to have a very interesting understanding of this world and what he’s trying to say. And so there is something very appealing about that and working with him on this particular project. It feels unique, it is its own world in some ways, and maybe, mostly, it scares the f-cking sh-t out of me or something. It might as well be the thing that scares you the most.”

Director Todd Phillips has managed to pull off something quite amazing with a very twisted ending. Here’s what he said of Joker as a character:

“Why can’t you do a genre comic-book film like that? We thought this could be an exciting approach to this genre. I’m not sure what it means for DC or Marvel … It was a hard movie for us to get made, to convince DC and the studio at first, but we thought we would keep pushing because we thought it would be special.”

Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, and Shea Whigham.
