New Report Gives us The Date For the First Captain Marvel Trailer
EW recently gave us the first official look at Marvel’s strongest superhero, and now the fans of MCU are all set for the First Captain Marvel trailer. While we got a great look at almost every important character from the upcoming female-led movie, we certainly do not have much of a clue about the story of the film and that matter will only get clearer with a teaser of Captain Marvel.
Since the world enjoyed the date of Brie Larson and Entertainment Weekly as they gave us the exclusive look at the likes of Carol Danvers, Nick Fury, Captain Mar-Vell, Ronan, Korath, the Skrulls and the elite Kree Squad Starforce, they are now waiting for the first big trailer to drop. Judging by the EW reveal, the trailer should come this month towards the final week, but now it seems that the fans might not have to wait for a very long time.
While there is no official report or confirmation for when the first trailer would drop from Marvel, a leaked production schedule from Good Morning America seems to confirm that it will happen in the next week itself. The image of the schedule can be seen here, and according to it, the trailer will debut during Tuesday Morning’s episode of Good Morning America. Along with the trailer, we would get to see Brie Larson join the show via a video chat in order to introduce the trailer as the listings of the show do mention her appearance.
There hasn’t been any official announcement upon this, but this does seem to be legit and we sure would be getting the trailer on Tuesday because not only does it make sense to release it then, it is also fair to believe this as trailers of previous Marvel movies have dropped on the show in the past. If this does turn out to be true then Marvel must be releasing an official announcement for the arrival of the trailer by Sunday or Monday. Let’s see if the first trailer of Captain Marvel breaks any viewing records once it arrives.
Releasing the trailer in the next week or sometime in this month itself does make a lot of sense because then it could be played in the theatres along with the most anticipated movies of this fall with the likes of Venom and others. The trailer would give us a good look at what we could expect from the story of the film and it may also give us our first look at a young Phil Coulson along with all other characters.
While we have heard about Captain Marvel being the strongest character from Kevin Feige, now, Brie Larson herself has given an in-depth explanation about her character when she sat down with EW. She mentioned that her character Carol Danvers will go through an internal struggle before she fully emerges as the hero we all are waiting for:
“You have this Kree part of her that’s unemotional, that is an amazing fighter and competitive. Then there’s this human part of her that is flawed but is also the thing that she ends up leading by. It’s the thing that gets her in trouble, but it’s also the thing that makes her great. And those two sides warring against each other is what makes her her.”
Larson went on to talk about what really attracted her to take on this role. She mentioned that the in-depth dynamic of the role was the one that latched her on to being Marvel’s strongest hero. She said:
“That is something that is really exciting to me about this film: We did not cut corners on that stuff. Like, when it’s funny, it is funny, but also when there’s deep emotional things happening, it’s real. So I was able to bring some of those same things that I’ve brought to full dramatic roles into this, which I’m really proud of because I think it will really set this film apart.”
Captain Marvel will hit the theatres on March 8, 2019. Here’s the official Synopsis:
“The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races,” the synopsis reads. “Set in the 1990s, Captain Marvel is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”
