The Post Credits Scene of Eternals Will Set up Marvel’s Mutants

Post Credits Scene: Eternals Set up Marvel’s Mutants:

We’re pretty excited for 2020 as it will bring us 6 Superhero movies and along with the Disney+ series The Falcon And The Winter Soldier. DC is putting out their female power as both Birds of Prey and Wonder Woman 1984 will be women-centric. Marvel will take this diversity step ahead even further was Black Widow will again be women-centric and bring Russians into the picture. Falcon & Winter Soldier will bring in at least 1, if not 2 versions of Black Captain Americas. Then the Eternals movie will have racial empowerment, women empowerment, LGBTQ superheroes, and handicap superheroes and even a kid. And, there are Sony’s Venom 2 and Morbius which also excite a few fans.

Among all of these films, Eternals surely is the most exciting project of the year. It’s not because of the massive cast that the movie will bring in, but it’s because the film will tell us the rich extensive history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We could have various retcons to various films among the 23. Moreover, Eternals would actually be used to set up a future of certain characters. For instance, Black Knight will be a part of the Eternals as it has already been confirmed that Kit Harrington will be playing Dane Whitman in the movie. Kevin Feige further went on to say that Black Knight will have a bigger role in the future of the MCU.

So, we understand that Black Knight would somehow appear in the present times after a bit of his backstory is shown in Eternals. There are rumors that he could even hold a solo franchise, if not a team-up franchise like the Mi-13 (with Blade & Captain Britain). Well, he is not the only character who is being set up for the future, as rumor has it that the Eternals will be crucial in bringing Mutants within the MCU.

According to a new report from We Got This Covered, the post credits scene of Chloe Zhao’s film will set up the X-Men by somehow showing us the origin of the X-Gene. The website states that the Eternals will be the ones to create this X-Gene, just like the Celestials created them. Well, this may or may not turn out to be true because if they did create the X-Gene and the mutants, then how is it that the X-Gene hasn’t been active in the MCU till now?

Is Thanos, Hulk, or Iron Man’s snap the reason as to how the dormant X-Gene suddenly gets activated amongst the people of Earth? This could be the only justified reasoning for the entry of mutants, and it could all lead back to the Eternals. If not this, then Wanda could be the reason that the mutants get created using the House of M. But then the link with the Eternals might not be established. Anyhow, the Eternals having a hand in the X-Gene of people does sound like a plausibility.
