Spider-Man: Far From Home will the first movie to be released under the Marvel Cinematic Universe banner after Avengers: Endgame. So there will be a lot riding on the movie’s shoulders to ensure they deliver as equally as or even better than its predecessor. With Endgame saying goodbye to most of the original founding members, the stage is set for a new generation of heroes to take the spotlight. Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the rest of the heroes will become the new Avengers of the MCU. But there is one more addition to the team. And depending on your taste, you may or may not like what we are about to say – Mysterio has joined the Avengers, ladies, and gentlemen! Presenting – New Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer reveals Mysterio is an Avenger!!!
Sony Pictures Entertainment and Marvel Studios have launched the final leg of their campaign for promoting Spider-Man: Far From Home, the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming. And the final trailer for the movie shows us one peculiar scene. Just like Spider-Man was ‘anointed’ by Tony Stark aka Iron Man to become an Avenger, Spider-Man does the same to Mysterio. He officially recruits Mysterio, the mysterious superhero from a parallel universe, into the fold of the Earth’s Mightiest heroes. That’s right folks! Mysterio is now officially an Avenger and a protector of Earth.
The previous trailers for the movie have shown us that Earth is terribly shorthanded at the moment when it came to having enough superheroes to repel whatever the bad guys have to throw at it. When the Elementals threaten Europe, it is up to Nick Fury and Mariah Hill to seek out the appropriate superhero for the job. But Nick Fury also says that he needs a new Avengers team for helping him save the day. That is when the TV Spot shows Peter Parker extending his hand towards Mysterio, which is like an invitation to join the elite superhero club.
But was it the right move? We know that Mysterio is a very creepy guy who is more or less a super-villain. Allowing him into the Avengers will only spell doom for the good guys if they do not play their cards right. We do not even know the guy’s true intentions as of right now. Is Spider-Man really upholding Iron Man’s legacy by recruiting such a shady guy into the Avengers? We will have to wait and see how this unfolds. We hope this ends well for the friendly neighbourhood superhero.
In an interview with Total Film Magazine, Peter Parker was heard saying this when asked about the future of Spider-Man in the MCU and we quote:
“[This] isn’t the start of a new, dark ’emo’ phase for Peter,” Watts tells the magazine. “Even though he’s gone through all these dramatic and traumatic events, he’s still the same Peter Parker we know and love. It’s seeing how he deals with those things that’s interesting for me.”
The Last Solo Marvel movie to be released under the Disney banner is Captain Marvel. The movie is currently in theatres. The official film synopsis for the movie reads:
Captain Marvel is an extraterrestrial Kree warrior who finds herself caught in the middle of an intergalactic battle between her people and the Skrulls. Living on Earth in 1995, she keeps having recurring memories of another life as U.S. Air Force pilot Carol Danvers. With help from Nick Fury, Captain Marvel tries to uncover the secrets of her past while harnessing her special superpowers to end the war with the evil Skrulls.
Avengers: Endgame released on the 26th of April, 2019. The official film synopsis of the movie has been released and it states:
