Toy Story 4 is one of the most-anticipated films of the year and, there’s no doubt that the film is going to earn big worldwide. But, the recent projections coming from Deadline are simply unbelievable. Yes, we are saying this because the opening weekend projections of this film has been reported to be close to the mark of $200 million. And, if this is going to come true then Toy Story 4 is going to be the first animated film ever to achieve an opening as big as this. It has to cross at least $182.6 million because it is the amount of money Incredibles 2 earned in its opening weekend.
This isn’t the first time we are talking about the projections of Toy Story 4. But, the projections that came in front of us were close to the mark of $130 million. And, this big jump is a result of the buzz that the film is creating on various social media platforms. With Avengers: Endgame already sitting at the throne of the second highest grossing film of all-time, and, Aladdin also turning the tides into its favor, there are chances that Toy Story 4 is also going to follow the trend of success at Disney.
Last but not least is the revelation from Atom Tickets and Fandango that Toy Story 4 now holds the record of selling most tickets of an animated movie in advance in a single day, as it has beaten the record of Incredibles 2 and will be hoping to break their opening weekend record too.
Tom Hanks, who voices for Woody revealed how they shot the end of the movie. He said,
“It was the first time that we were going to be recording the end of the movie, and Toy Story is going to have an impactful ending. The way you record Toy Story, you’re in a room with the team that has created it. When I went in for my last day of recording, I wanted to have my back to them, because usually, you’re facing him so he can look right up and you can talk about it. I didn’t want to see them and pretended they couldn’t see me.”
Toy Story 4 will release on June 21st. Are you going to watch the movie? Tell us in the comments.
