Avengers: Endgame brought us a lot of hints and clues about the future of MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). But, some characters were left behind as some come in the limelight. There are a lot of characters whose future is still dark but holds a special place in the history of this franchise. Yes, we are talking about the ‘Green daughter of Thanos, Gamora’. In Avengers: Endgame we all saw that Gamora has made its way with Thanos in the present day. And, the Guardians alongside Thor was going to find Gamora. As there is still hope in Star Lord’s heart that maybe Gamora has survived that Snap from ‘Iron Man’ because she was fighting with for the good at the end.
But, still, we all wanted to know what the future of Gamora looks like. And, should keep some hopes in our heart about her return or not? Well, not clearly but something has been stated by the co-director of the film, Joe Russo while having an interview with Business Insider. Here’s what he said,
“We don’t know whether she was dusted or whether she survived. That’s probably a question that Guardians [3] will answer,” Anthony Russo also added that, “Quill doesn’t know either.”
Now, all eyes are on the incoming of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’. Because this is the film in which we could see Gamora or something related to her if she’s not alive. Talking about the comments from Joe Russo, we shouldn’t forget that he has said something similar at Game Over: An Evening With Joe Russo. Yes, he said something related to the future of Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. As he said,
“Quill’s searching for her at the end of the movie, is she alive, is she dead, we have no idea,” Joe added. “Even if she is alive, it’s not the same Gamora. The way timelines work is you’ve gotten a different character. This is not the same person, she doesn’t have the same emotional memories, she doesn’t have the same relationship to him…as far as, they look like the same person but they don’t have the same experiences and the same emotional memories, it’s not the same person. No matter what, this would be a journey for him.”
We don’t know exactly right now what is going to happen with the character of Gamora. But, we do know that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is going to be a really important movie for the timeline of MCU.
