Russo Brothers Put Out Yet Another Reminder to Not Spoil Avengers: Endgame

Avengers: Endgame is just 3 days away and since the world premiere has happened and people have loved the film already, we can expect the reviews of the film to come in pretty soon. It seems that Avengers: Endgame will get a 90%+ score on Rotten Tomatoes, but we can admit that if it gets anything over 80%, then we can consider it to be a massive success. Infinity War got an 85% score and that was enough for it to go on and break the double billion.

“Rotten Tomatoes Fresh” will certainly tell fans that the Russos have pulled it off and there’s no reason to skip this film. Not that people were going to skip it, but having great critical acclaim certainly benefits a movie in many ways. But with the world premiere of a movie happening a few days before comes the major risk of spoilers being spread everywhere.

Avengers: Endgame First Reactions

This is what happened with Captain Marvel as people who got to see film on the world premiere gave out both the Post Credits scenes. The same is going to happen for this film as well. The fact that there’s just so much for people to spoil in this movie is also pretty threatening. This is a movie that has been made for the fans and everyone has the right to enjoy equally. So it is our duty to not let anything out of our stomachs if we’ve been lucky enough to see this film before others.

Avengers: Endgame Directors Captain America Tribute Video

The Russo brothers had already issued a statement previously telling people not to spoil this film for others. Now they’ve issued yet another reminder telling people to be a good person like Doctor Strange, who apparently saw 14 Million 605 versions of Avengers: Endgame and didn’t spoil even one of those. (or did he?)

Joe & Anthony Russo got to talking about spoilers with Box Office Pro, and here’s what Joe Russo said:

“I think this one has even more spoilers than the last one. This is a culture that wants everything now, and it’s getting worse. The world is connected via social media, and information travels within seconds. If you’ve been following along with this narrative for 10 years, you’re going to want to protect yourself. It’s best to go in clean. I encourage people to go opening weekend because I’m sure everything is going to hit the Internet the moment the movie hits the screen.”

Here’s the plea issued by the directors: #DontSpoilTheEndgame.

“For all of you who have been on this journey with us since the very beginning, sharing every high and low with your family, your friends, your classmates, your co-workers. Investing so deeply in every character and storyline. Laughing. Cheering Shedding tears. Giving so freely of your thoughts and emotions in spirited dialogue, theories, fan art, and fan fiction. Please know that the two of us, along with everyone involved in Endgame, have worked tirelessly for the last three years with the sole intention of delivering a surprising and emotionally powerful conclusion to the Infinity Saga,” the brothers wrote in a letter addressed to Marvel Studios’ legion of worldwide fans.

Because so many of you have invested your time, your hearts, and your souls into these stories, we’re once again asking for your help. When you see Endgame in the coming weeks, please don’t spoil it for others, the same way you wouldn’t want it spoiled for you. Remember, Thanos still demands your silence.”

So remember, Thanos, demands your silence! Avengers: Endgame will open on April 26, and it’ll presumably star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Danai Gurira, Peter Dinklage, Benedict Wong, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Gwyneth Paltrow, Benicio del Toro, Josh Brolin, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Chris Pratt, Paul Rudd, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Tessa Thompson, Evangeline Lilly, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Cate Blanchett, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas, Tilda Swinton, Jeff Goldblum, Katherine Langford, Stellan Skarsgard, Ava Russo and Brie Larson.
