The Fallout Avengers Never Saw – Thanos Still Won

Avengers: Endgame –

No one could have ever imagined that the Marvel Cinematic Universe would evolve into the worldwide phenomenon it is today. At its inception, this cinematic universe only spanned two vaguely connected movies with absolutely no interconnectivity but the charm of Robert Downey Jr. in conjunction with the wits of Kevin Feige transformed this particular intellectual property into a gold mine. Not only does the cinematic universe now comprise of over 22 movies and a multitude of characters but is also a source of entertainment to men and women worldwide.

Avengers: Endgame Theory Thanos

This world that the Avengers fight for is uncontrollably in love with them and their heroic exploits. We have seen the Marvel-verse develop from nothing into this epic saga of loss, struggle, and character development. When at the end of Infinity War, we witnessed Thanos snapping his fingers and wiping out half of all life in existence, we marveled at just how far we had come. Just how far the Avengers had come and then on April 26th, 2019, we saw the conclusion of it all as the Avengers pulled off a time heist and reassembled the infinity stones five years in the future to snap all the victims back into existence.

Although it was a plan that stemmed out of pure desperation, it was still the only Avengers could reliably execute because Thanos had left them with no other option. During the events of Avengers: Endgame, the core Avengers choose to collect time remnants of the infinity stones to reverse the snap by creating their own infinity gauntlet. However, according to u/codyswann on r/Fantheories there was a larger picture that the Avengers completely ignored. Consider the following post reproduced below for your scrutiny:-

[ENDGAME SPOILERS] The fallout the Avengers didn’t see from FanTheories

As the Reddit user discusses, it seems that in terms of reality vs comic book movies, there are way more implications of mass cosmic level magic tricks such as the snap in the real world as compared to a comic book movie cinematic universe. Not only does the Reddit user make it a point to implicate Thanos for his mass genocide but he also reveals the fatal flaw in the Avengers’ plan. The redditor focuses on the fact that even if earth’s mightiest heroes succeed in their endeavor of creating their own version of the snap, they could accomplish little as regards to returning life back to normal mainly because the five year period between both snaps is enough to destabilize even the best of us.

The user goes on to list various instances where the bringing back of individuals would cause more chaos than their disappearance did, for example, it would be rather surprising if people just blinked into existence mid-air five years later just because they were snapped away during a flight. Moreover, it will be very hard for peers to accept their friends back into their lives after a period of five years. Not to mention the turmoil families will go through when dead parents come back to find missing or dead children and spouses arrive only to find that their lovers have moved on.

Avengers: Endgame Theory Thanos

It will be a world full of unbridled chaos, of madness and fickle faith. The world we know has been gone since the day Thanos snapped his fingers. All that is left after the battle of Avengers: Endgame is a mark of the Mad Titan upon the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The scar of a tyrant’s conviction, the wound of his resolve resonating throughout this continuity and endured by the Earth’s mightiest heroes. Maybe this was his plan all along, to create enough chaos in life’s existence so as to raise concern for its wellbeing. Or maybe this was orchestrated by a power higher than what we are able to fathom.

Avengers: Endgame Theory Thanos

Maybe there is a larger and grander force in the works behind the curtain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, something that we can only dream of grasping. Can we truly say that all is well after the events of Avengers: Endgame? Is this the conclusion the fandom and the people of the earth wanted or is this just a compromise that we accept in the wake of cosmic forces? I think Thanos still won because the Avengers could never have anticipated this fallout, what do you think? Tell us in the comments below.
