Avengers: Endgame – Captain Marvel’s New Suit
The all-star team-up MCU movie is coming out in just 10 days and we will see the original 6 Avengers team up with some new members who survived the snap, and will now go up against Thanos to bring back all the disintegrated heroes. The team will obviously be led by Captain America for now, but by the end of the film, we could see a new leader take charge, in the form of Captain Marvel.
Carol Danvers made her way to the Avengers facility following Nick Fury’s distress signal and we all noticed that she looked a bit different than the last time we saw her. Well, she returns more than 20 years later so a little bit of change is clearly understandable. She had longer hair and a new upgraded suit that has more gold on it.
There are 3 reasons for her understandable change of suits and look in Avengers: Endgame. One of those is showing her development over two decades, the second is to sell more toys, and the third one was that Brie Larson shot her Captain Marvel scenes for Avengers: Endgame before she actually shot her own solo movie. Here’s what Joe Russo had to say about that:
“She [filmed Avengers: Endgame] before she filmed Captain Marvel, and I think she was experimenting with what the character was. And those were the choices that she and her hair and makeup team had made…I think as she started to gain a deeper understanding of the character, especially as she approached her own movie, she started to make different choices and as an artist she should be afforded that right to make whatever choice that she wants to make.”
Now, we have the first look at her new suit in detail and it does look pretty good. It is certainly better than the first suit we saw, as the colors are more vibrant upon this one. The Blue and Red color on the Torso were a bit dull earlier, but they are much more “out there” now, and the gold obviously helps.
It would be interesting to see the role that Captain Marvel will play in the upcoming film. She is the biggest gun that the team will have now (or at least she believes that), and the match-up between her and Thanos will be a treat to watch.
Every Avengers movie follows a tradition of pitting heroes against heroes. The first one had Thor and Iron Man going up against each other. The second one had Iron Man fight Hulk, and the team fighting the Maximoffs, and the third one had Iron Man, Spider-Man & Doctor Strange fighting Star-Lord, Mantis & Drax. It was believed that Captain Marvel will somehow take on the Avengers for a while, but now there probably isn’t any time left for that. So let’s see what happens.
Directed by Joe & Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame will open on April 26, and it’ll presumably star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jeremy Renner Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Danai Gurira, Peter Dinklage, Benedict Wong, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Gwyneth Paltrow, Benicio del Toro, Josh Brolin, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Chris Pratt, Paul Rudd, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Tessa Thompson, Evangeline Lilly, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Cate Blanchett, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas, Tilda Swinton, Jeff Goldblum, Katherine Langford, Stellan Skarsgard, Ava Russo and Brie Larson.
Here’s the new synopsis of Avengers: Endgame:
“Thanos snapped his fingers in Avengers: Infinity War, and half the life in the universe instantly dissolved. Now a ragged group of surviving warriors, including Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor, and the Hulk works to counteract the Mad Titan’s genocidal action.
Since our heroes couldn’t stop Thanos the first time, what makes them think they can win in a rematch? The answer may be in overwhelming power, thanks to Captain Marvel, or in the tiniest spaces between atoms accessible to Ant-Man. Avengers: Endgame will rewrite the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it. When it’s all over, nothing will be the same.”
