Avengers: Endgame – Empire Reveals The First Official Look at Thanos

We have waited quite a lot to land ourselves in Avengers: Endgame marketing land, but now that we have landed here, we will get a flurry of news updates almost every day. The new trailer kicked off the final marketing campaign of the film and now we are waiting for the exclusives from various Magazines to show up. Empire will give us a lot to talk about on March 21, but before that, we have actually got a tease for what’s about to come.

Avengers: Endgame Thanos

March 21 will be one of the days where we get to see new posters, covers, images, probably BTS photos, interviews of people involved with Avengers: Endgame, and many more things. So far, the two Endgame trailers have only revealed a few heroes and teased the plot of the movie, but we haven’t yet got anything upon the villain, except for a glimpse of his damaged Gauntlet. Well, now we have the first official look at Thanos coming from Empire’s new Magazine cover. Have a look:

Now obviously this is the old armor with a few tweaks and changes. We know that Thanos’ armor is going to be back. He looks fierce and menacing, and the fact that the Infinity Gauntlet is ‘A-Okay’ here, we could assume that time travel should be involved in some way or from here.

Since Empire is an International brand, there will be different versions of it coming out on different days. This is one of those, and we will get the one in English in a few days. And that’s not it, even Entertainment Weekly will give us their covers on March 22. So, the upcoming few days are going to be huge with regards to the digital marketing of the film.

Avengers: Endgame Thanos

The recent Endgame trailer did not bring Thanos on screen, but we know that he was involved. The likes of Nebula, Captain America, Rocket and War Machine were certainly fighting him even though the location of the fight might be unknown. Also because the trailer wasn’t supposed to include footage from the latter half of the film, so we can assume that the battle teased in the trailer takes place in the beginning, even before the time jump happens. The Avengers would supposedly lose the fight so they take the time travel route later on.

But what we don’t understand is that how strong is Thanos, that he will even manage to beat the Avengers with Captain Marvel at their side now. He has a damaged arm and a broken Gauntlet against the most powerful Superhero in the Universe. We just don’t know how Thanos comes out on top in Round 1. We will find out soon enough.

Here’s the new synopsis of Avengers: Endgame:

“Thanos snapped his fingers in Avengers: Infinity War, and half the life in the universe instantly dissolved. Now a ragged group of surviving warriors, including Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor, and the Hulk works to counteract the Mad Titan’s genocidal action.

Since our heroes couldn’t stop Thanos the first time, what makes them think they can win in a rematch? The answer may be in overwhelming power, thanks to Captain Marvel, or in the tiniest spaces between atoms accessible to Ant-Man. Avengers: Endgame will rewrite the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it. When it’s all over, nothing will be the same.”
