X-Men: Dark Phoenix Trailer 2 Released and It’s Something!
X-Men: Dark Phoenix Trailer 2 –
One of the superhero movies this year that people are least excited about is none other than X-Men: Dark Phoenix. With people knowing what the ultimate result of Fox’s Marvel properties is going to be, no one really gives a rat’s ass about the core X-Men franchise that Fox has been producing for almost 2 decades now.
Especially after X-Men: Apocalypse completely shit the bed, people just want to get done with this franchise and see the X-Men join the MCU. But for that to happen, we still have to go through another film, and now we also have the X-Men: Dark Phoenix trailer 2 to know what’s coming for us this summer. Check it out:

People certainly did not love the first trailer as it seemed that Fox has made the same (X-Men: The Last Stand) movie again, but now after having significant reshoots, this second trailer does look a bit better than the first one. To put it in a good way, this film will probably turn out to be better than the Garbage that Brett Ratner produced. So for director Simon Kinberg, second time’s a charm?
The trailer begins with Jean talking to the Phoenix Force inside her as we clearly see her kill Mystique, who was trying to reach out to her. Instead of Charles getting killed off, this time it is going to be Raven, and this is not even a spoiler since everyone predicted it in the first trailer, and now the editors of this trailer have begun with that in the second trailer.
This film will be about Jean Embracing the Phoenix Force as Jessica Chastain’s Mystery character convinces her to, and the debate is going to be about whether to kill her off, or try and save Jean Grey from the Dark Phoenix. The one good thing that I can say about this film is that it is going to be intense and Brutal, and it will bring this franchise to its much-needed end. So all in all, I’d say that it was a good trailer because it portrayed what the movie is in a justifiable way.
Whether or not it gave too much away is the matter of debate, but this is going to be a debate that people are not really going to care about. After 2 delays in its release date, the movie has finally found clear footing, but we can’t be sure whether or not to will do well. Things mostly point to the fact that this film will fail since it is coming out of a lot of BTS chaos, and even the fans are done with the franchise knowing that there is something better already in store for them.
The film does look to have some cool action sequences, so there’s that, but let’s not expect it to break all the barriers and be as good as any of the Superhero movies that came out in 2018. As for the Box Office, the film might find a hard time bringing in a whole amount of profit because looking at the CGI in this film, it does seem that the movie had a grand budget, and moreover, it had to go under substantial reshoots where the entire sets had to be created through CGI.
The audience reactions of the early screenings of the film were hades as well. People didn’t like what Fox has done with the story even after the reshoots, so I’d say that this is going to be a critical and commercial failure due to many reasons.
But the good side of it is that it is getting over, and Disney will have taken over Fox by the time this movie comes out. So, they’ll just accept the loss and transition the X-Men properly into the MCU, which is what we all have wanted for a very long time.
Tell us what you thought about this new trailer.
