Death of a major character in X-Men: Dark Phoenix has been reportedly revealed and yes we are talking about that funeral scene in the trailer of the movie. We all know that X-Men: Dark Phoenix is going to be the last movie of the original franchise and no wonder Fox want to close it with a big cheer by making a movie which has all kinds of bright and super dark things in it.
That’s why they’re bringing the death of a major character and since the release of the trailer, there has been a lot of speculations around this topic but it seems like we have something quite strong in our hands now which has revealed the name of the character whose funeral was that in the trailer.
Well, it has been stated by ‘We Got This Covered’ that, as per reports, the character whose funeral we saw in the trailer was none other than Mystique‘s as she is the one who is going to die in the movie X-Men: Dark Phoenix. There were a lot of fan theories which deduced the same thing and seeing this one from the side of We Got This Covered is no surprise. But, it’s the claims and facts which they have put on the table in order to state their case is the thing which is getting a lot of attention.
We all know that Jean Grey is going to create a lot of menace in this movie and will harm even her own team members. So, there’s going to be a decisive moment in the movie when Jean Grey will start manifesting her Phoenix powers and abilities in order to find and make her own path. But, it’s Charles Xavier and the other members of the X-Men team who will try their best to bring back their beloved Jean into the fold.
The main reason they want to bring Jean in the fold is that they have their hopes on Charles that he will turn Jean back into what she was. But things won’t go as they planned and in the middle of all this chaos and fight, Mystique will get killed. No doubt, Jean will do that unintentionally because she won’t be able to control her powers at that point of time and so, will use them on her X-Men team members.
But, it sounds quite normal because we have seen that already in the movie X-Men: The Last Stand where Jean Grey harms her beloved Cyclops along with her mentor Charles Xavier. So, there are chances that we are going to see similar kinds of things in this movie as well but on a higher level as killing Mystique is surely going to turn Magneto against Grey because we all know that Mystique and Magneto share a great bond in X-Men movies.
But, Magneto can also use Jean Grey in order to destroy all the humans out there. So, there could a lot of ways in which the makers could lead the story after the death of Mystique in the movie.
We all know that Mystique was supposed to guide them in space in that famous mission from where it all began for Jean Grey and also we have seen that in X-Men mission to space, it was Mystique’s face on which we can see the flames of Phoenix while she was under cockpit and there are chances that it is consuming her. But, there could be a lot of other things and it all depends on one man, the director of the movie Simon Kinberg.
