The Star Wars franchise is about to give us the last and final installment of the gripping The Last Jedi trilogy. The movie that began with Star Wars: The Force Awakens and continues with Star Wars: The Last Jedi will have its legacy reach an end with Star Wars: Episode 9. The last movie of the trilogy is still untitled and Lucas Film had promised that they would be revealing the official title of the movie this month.
Yet January is almost over and we got jack. Lucas Film duped us yet again. But thanks to an accidental leak from Lucas Film Studios, we might now have an idea as to what the official title of Star Wars Episode 9 could be. And believe it when we say it, it is actually awesome.
All thanks to our trusted Star Wars fandom on Reddit, the official title of the Star Wars Episode 9 movie could be out in the public. The guy who did that has decided to stay anonymous so we will never get to know the name of the unsung hero who gave us this gift. The screenshot of StarWars.com’s coding sequence has revealed to us something really interesting. So without further ado, we bring you the supposed official title of Star Wars: Episode 9.
And it is called – Star Wars: The Balance of the Force.
It is actually befitting of a trilogy of the Star Wars caliber. Star Wars: The Force Awakens showed us how screwed up the galaxy was with the first Order taking over planet after planet and the Resistance being almost helpless until Rey became a Jedi and defeated Kylo Ren.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi shows what happens when the hero of the Galaxy is finally confronted by Rey and the Jedi Order is restarted when the Resistance are on their final legs. Star Wars: Episode 9 – if it is indeed called Star Wars: The Balance of the Force – would be a well-placed title to the final installment to The Last Jedi trilogy.
The Force Awakens was about the rise of the Light Side of the Force; The Last Jedi was about The Dark Side and the Light Side fighting for control; The Balance of the Force will be about the final outcome of that battle and the restoration of balance to the Force.
With Director J.J Abrams taking the reins, the fans expect the Star Wars universe to be on a major course correction strategy after The Last Jedi screwed up the Star Wars universe. The Balance of the Force will not be just about restoring peace and harmony in the universe, but will also be instrumental in satiating the extremely loyal Star Wars fan base, who have been fuming at the mouth ever since The Last Jedi.
The first installment of the Last Jedi trilogy, Star Wars: The Force Awakens released on the 25th of December, 2015. The first official film synopsis for the movie reads:
Thirty years after the defeat of the Galactic Empire, the galaxy faces a new threat from the evil Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and the First Order. When a defector named Finn (John Boyega) crash-lands on a desert planet, he meets Rey (Daisy Ridley), a tough scavenger whose droid contains a top-secret map. Together, the young duo joins forces with Han Solo (Harrison Ford) to make sure the Resistance receives the intelligence concerning the whereabouts of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), the last of the Jedi Knights.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi has already witnessed its Blu-Ray/DVD Blu-Ray release. The official film synopsis of the movie reads:
Luke Skywalker’s peaceful and solitary existence gets upended when he encounters Rey, a young woman who shows strong signs of the Force. Her desire to learn the ways of the Jedi forces Luke to make a decision that changes their lives forever. Meanwhile, Kylo Ren and General Hux lead the First Order in an all-out assault against Leia and the Resistance for supremacy of the galaxy.
Do I really look like a guy with a plan? You know what I am? I’m a dog chasing cars. I wouldn’t know what to do with one if I caught it! You know, I just… do things
